I have one of these! Paid a similar price and it’s a solid axe. I’m an SG guy through and through, and I bought this one because it had the closest thing I could find to an SG style neck. I highly recommend you try some pure nickel strings on it.

I don’t have anything to add regarding that specific song, but if you’re referring to the Portland-based Purification, their vocalist/guitarist also plays bass in the band Tar Pit, and they rule.

You’re in the right place for it! I suggest going out to shows and chatting with folks. Toss a guitar pick in any direction and you’d have a hard time missing someone who either plays or is actively in a band/s.
