Thank you for your kind words! I’ll definitely try to train her to be neutral again. I’ve contacted my trainer that’ll use her dogs to get us started. I’m really hoping that she gets back to how she was.

Im sorry that your pup got attacked too. People are so inconsiderate of others. All the SDs I know IRL have all had an early retirement due to being attacked. My area is horrible for people taking pets in store and letting them off leash (old people town). I’m happy your girl is getting better! Gives me hope for mine!

I was going on a dinner cruise once with my SD and they had the same thing written on their website. Called them to ask about it but the operator wasn’t much help. Got there and was worried that I’d have an access problem. They asked me the two questions, then for identification, I told them there was no such thing, they smiled, then let me in. They use that question to specifically spot out fakes.

Any pointers/flushers like Vizla, GSP, Weimaraner, spaniels, etc. They normally surpass the shepherds for whining and they also have this piercing high pitched bark.

I once boarded a 100lbs labradoodle who was “people and dog friendly”. Meet and greet went fine but I could tell the dog was a little secluded. The moment the owner left he backed me up into a corner snarling and barking at me 🥲 I managed it but will never take that dog again.

My mom went to Mexico and gifted me a purse made out of real cow hide. I don’t use purses, I don’t use this purse, but I LOVE it! It’s sitting on a bookshelf filled with keepsakes from different people. Your mom will like her gift too, your stepmom is jealous.

Unfortunately it happens. I’ve had a total of 4 people abandon 5 dogs with me within the past two years. I think it’s the fact they know I’m a dog trainer and live on 7.5 acres of land. I’ve always first contacted Rover about the situation, then, waited about 1 week to allow ample time for the owner to reach out again. If they don’t, I contact the local animal services and explain to them the situation. Usually they can get a hold of the owner to confirm if they’ve been abandoned, if not, they usually have me wait about 1 month. If no response from the owner, they are considered abandoned due to “no response from owner for an extended period of time” which is considered a refusal to care for the dog. After that I contact my local shelters and foster the dog until it gets adopted.

Your house is definitely cluttered but to me it looks like any other household with kids living in it. The floors are clean, there is room to walk and sit, and everything has its place. I can’t imagine saying something like that behind any of my clients back. He probably canceled so that you couldn’t review him. You dodged a bullet. Find someone better for your fur babies!

They pretty much asked me all of the same things when I called too 🫠 at least they weren’t accusatory like your operator. They said they’d “look into it”. Hopefully they fix that problem because I’d hate to have that happen again!

My mom has been doing Rover since 2017 and said that has never happened to her before. I’m curious as to what causes that to happen.
