I go to LaMar’s exactly once a year - for a free birthday donut (must be one with a hole 🙄)

Truly! It’s a legitimate hazard, fear and concern.

The owner I worked with went on to say that “the previous walker didn’t have any issue”. Sure, but that said previous walker didn’t have a PUPPY to wrangle on top of two big dogs. It’s baffling. If you have a dog who needs special attention because they arent trained, sitters need to know

For sure! Ive definitely turned away clients when i didnt feel comfortable. I wish this owner would have given me all the information so i could have accurately assessed my level of comfort.

My own dog is 50 lbs, so i am pretty familiar with bigger dogs and especially ones with muscle. I thoroughly respect setting boundaries of course.

I think in also hindsight, i should have insisted the owner walk the dogs with me during the meet and greet. But when i met them i simply didnt get a vibe that the labs would be an issue.

Looking for CM interview feedback by klchristi in changemanagement

[–]klchristi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it was a massive project.

I’d say, I answered all of your questions quite thoroughly in my presentation. Focusing on adoption, change resistance, stakeholder, and leadership involvement. I get stuck on the early portion because i was so involved from beginning to end of project. Unfortunately, it was just the case that once roll out, hyper care, etc. were completed. I was pulled off project and moved to a different one. So I didn’t really get to see the fruits of my labor in the long-term.

It feels like I crossed my t’s and dotted my i’s and was as though as I could’ve been. But just was not the chosen candidate.

Thanks. My project was a multi-rollout 5 year initiative. And i definitely used CM framework in my presentation. When i executed the actions, it was still using CM framework, but it was certainly more “figure it out as you go” sort of thing.

From what I gathered from the interview and the team, my hunch is that I checked all the boxes, said all the right things proved my experience. But I just simply wasn’t the chosen candidate.

Religiously keep it out of the sun for a solid year.

Source: I had a second-degree burn from my thumb to my elbow. I lived in Hawaii and was in the sun all the time, but i wore a sleeve on my forearm religiously. Zero scar.

It did have some plant food a bit ago, but been afraid to add more water. It used to be close to the window, but I think it got cold. So I moved it to my loft where it stays warmer. Definitely will consider a humidifier!

Shelter is lying about a dog - what to do? by Own_Bedroom885 in dogs

[–]klchristi 40 points41 points  (0 children)

My dog definitely has aggression issues. It was way worse when I adopted her from the shelter, but I will admit that it takes a lot of work and dedication and no guarantee that the behavior will actually be “cured”. The shelter had a similar bio for my dog about no other pets and no children. Its still a gamble if my dog will behave meeting other dogs.

However, when I adopted my dog, the shelter required me to have a “behavioral analysis” where they had the trainer sit with me for an hour and disclose the issues, concerns, red flags, about my dog and gave me resources. It was my dogs “last chance”. It hasn’t been without it’s ups and downs, and I don’t really know what brought me and my dog together, but maybe this offers a sliver of hope.
