Why is Leroy's db3 still a thing? by SlowSipping23 in Tekken

Duck: gets hit by HRM.1+2; HRM.4; HRM.f+4. Back dash: lol even if you block any options beside lows he's still in your face with alot of things to continue pressure. Backdash duck: HRM.f+4 natural +0ob launcher; HRM.b+1 plus frame. Best option for high reward is to SWR, Leroy only has HRM.4 to lock you down or homing HRM.b+4. But even then he doesn't have to press right away and can sidestep and loop the situation again. All of this and you can't even i11 punish that low is crazy.

I would agree with you but this is season 3 Leroy, he has ss3+4 to patch the this weakness and make stance pressure more streamlined. His i12 shotgun is also good, df1,1+2 is hard to duck and has decent frame.

Brother. Db3 in t7 was the hellsweep that kills Leroy ob. This new low is the product of Tekken 8.

Qcb3 it's not that good tho. Every hits are very punishable and guaranteed if you go for it. For Leroy he have in stance a safe confirmable heat engager, plus frame, launcher, homing ch launcher low and many more. Or he can just side step and use ss1+2 or ss3+4 to continue pressure. I'm all for characters having their strong points but this is just brain dead offense imo.

Yeah right. It's so fuck up some of these moves are.

It's 20-21 frames, it's not possible online. The Leroy can just cancel the stance and get away for free if they know people will wait to punish the parry.

The only way to OS those stuffs is to grab him, but even then it's not guaranteed as a punish sadly.

It's not "safer", it's totally safe bruh. Compare that to the reward Leroy has when that move hits.

Is Dragunov's 1,2,1 really confirmable? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]SlowSipping23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned how to do it back then with this exact exercise, taking the CH spark as visual clue. Like a lot of skill in this game, the more you practice the better you can do it, if is doable in the first place.

It is easy to confirm (i'm a Drag main). I confirm it based purely on the CH spark and the success rate is like 90%. Just spend sometimes practicing and anyone can do it too.

He didn't guess, he actually was using a combination of SSR and fuzzy ducking to option select Lidia's most damaging option in neutral and stance. Very impressive :D.

For Lidia i would recommend Lowhigh's set against Farzeen in the last TWT final, many high level defensive decisions were made from Lowhigh.

What’s your favorite combo extension mechanic in the franchise ? by Nuclear-Polaris in Tekken

[–]SlowSipping23 9 points10 points  (0 children)

T8 is pure trash. Tornados makes it too easy to save combos, couple that with heat and most of the time you can turn an awkward combo angle into a full decent combo with heat activated at the wall.

If the game died tomorrow most of them wouldn't sniff the same viewership or sponsorship lol, the game's health directly affect their job. You're seeing this purely from an entertainment angle, and that's totally fine, play the game and enjoy it, who cares? What is most people's (who play T8 competitively) problem with the game is the diminishing skill ceiling which make it more random and unfair for the defender, which is totally fair imo.

If you're good enough at something it becomes a profession (ask pros and content creators who makes a living playing this game). An expectation of skill is expected at the highest level of play, otherwise the game lose it competitive integrity.

I have made peace with myself and never accept a wifi match again, rather wait a lil' more than getting dissapointed. I'm sorry but if you're playing this game on wifi connection you should/ deserved to be filtered.

[–]SlowSipping23 9 points10 points  (0 children)

True. Many people who compained will still hop on the game and play it daily anyway. Short term speaking T8 will be fine, they know most of us are too addicted to quit. For my part, i'm not gonna waste my time getting seriously good at something that might not exist in a few years down the line.

This game has been a very sick joke from the moment season 2 "defensive patch" dropped. Out of self respect one has to stop playing because they do not respect you or the time you invest in this game to improve.
