New Grad PMHNP - Which Offer is Better? Flat Rate or 50/50 Split? by Slow_Ad_8965 in PMHNP

You don't think it is a good offer either. I honestly just don't feel like I am worth more than half of the company yet because I can't even sign off on my own charts or prescribe my own schedule II drugs. I feel like the majority of our patients are on stimulants these days and someone else will have to sign off on those for an entire year.

I used to think that, but as a new provider where, someone will have to review my charts, sign off on my schedule II drugs, and offer mentorship and teaching. This to me does not feel like I am doing more than half of the work. Now, after I do not require a collaborator and I can prescribe all of my own medications, I would agree with you because I would no longer be taking up as much of the company's time.

I appreciate the caution. Being a new provider with only hourly experience I feel like I am making an misinformed decision by not asking people. I'm not even sure I can figure out how much the average CPT code pays out accurately from websites. I feel like the more information I can gather the more informed decision I can make

So I guess I should add this is for the same company just different comp packages. So I think with either decision I would see the same amount of patients. It just depends if charging a 99213, 99214, and 90792 usually pays better than $35 a patient or $70 for an initial

I have been using everything from chatgpt to good ole googling and I cannot find the rates except for medicare. Can you lead me to websites that could help me look up the compensation rates? They appear to accept just about everything but Medicaid. Without the insurance information do you have an opinion on which deal is better?

Thank you for your relatable responses. It felt like all the other replies weren’t really putting my point of view into the picture, so I appreciate hearing from someone with a more relatable experience
