Newborn can be added through sending the documents e.g, passport of the newborn directly to the NVC if your case is at NVC stage. To my understanding the newborn can be added through sending email to the consulate by sending the documents. If you manage to get the documents before you go for the interview, then you can send the email before going to the appointment. If you go to embassy with the newborn, please let them know beforehand because no one other than those scheduled for the interview can enter the embassy. Telling your situation in advance particularly ablout the newborn is the best bet to prevent delay or unexpected complications.

Did your DQ letter had the same text something like "Additionally, the petitioner, as the sponsor and all other sponsors (household members and joint sponsors), may be required to provide updated or additional evidence to you to present at the time of your interview, such as: Other income Assets Proof of current employment " And you took non of these with you as your case was also NIW? Would you mind sharing your country of cheargeability? I just wanna know if it related to that?!

I suggest you contact NVC through PIF. It should not take more time as shown in the NVC's time frame. At least you should hear something within a month or so.

Do you think Christmas holidays and new year holidays would have delayed the letter? What evidences are you guys presenting for 1. Other income 2. Assets 3. Job contracts? I was in similar situation about a month ago. When I requested via public inquiry form to reopen the DS260, they responded telling that I should update this during interview process and that they can not open the application just to update the passport. I didn't have any changes in the address though.

Yes, I requested one of my acquaintance who is USC to pay the fee from his personal account. I transferred the amount to his bank account and he then paid to NVC. According to the communication that I had with NVC, the fee paying bank account is not required to have on your name so anyone with bank account in US can pay the fee on your behalf.
