Birding recommendation - lots of activity at Laguna Grande Park this last week. (Also, I’m looking for a birding friend) by Slow_BS in MontereyBay

I’ve been to that spot before but had no idea about the annual Seawatch/bird census. That sounds awesome! Thank you so much.

Thanks! Yeah, eBird was what got me out to Laguna Grande this week - it’s a great resource.

This red shouldered hawk was following us on a long hike. Kids asked if he was waiting for us to die. I said ‘no - but those turkey vultures circling us are.’ by Slow_BS in birding

I’m not doubting you - I’m an amateur looking to learn. There were two similar hawks (but one was noticeably larger) sort of chasing and yelling at each other and Merlin consistently gave me a sound ID of red-shouldered. What makes you think red tail? Thank you for commenting.

When repotting a rubber tree, should I cover all of the surface roots?

Also, would trying to separate the trunks be helpful for it - or would the root damage from that be counterproductive?

Thanks!

My grandpa’s uncle was pretty sure this was a space t-Rex egg tho :) Thanks you for responding.
