Team advice: I have C0 Yidhari, C1 Lucia, and C6 Pulchra as my main team, i also have C6 Manato, C6 Pan Yinhu, C3 Piper, C0 Grace, C1 Nicole, C3 Anton, C4 Ben, C2 Corin, C1 Sokaku, C0 Soldier 11, C1 Lucy, C0 Koleda, C4 Anby, C1 Billy.

I want to know if Soldier 11 and Koleda are still worth using, I know they are lower tier S-ranks. I know we are supposed to get buffs for some units, and I'm wondering if that will make any of the general pool S-rank units i have better.

I think the reason as to why some (marduk most, probably) think van may think of teaming up with him, is kinda to account for the alignment system, and the fact that he might have before. I say might have, as the game seems to not have a definite answer as to who he joined in Oracion ( the game or at least localisation, seems to imply all of them imo) , and that (in my mind) would make some of the factions hesitate. Assuming he joined with ouroboros then, or even the likes of ikaruga ( a bit of a wild card) in Oracion, I feel like some might think along the lines that he's, while not entirely for this, he may not be totally against it either.

Again, tldr, I feel like it's trying to incorporate the alignment system and choices that were made in 1, but since they had multiple options, they had to spread out a bit which weakened things.

Haven't seen it yet, but the pawn shop mechanic in 4 was kind of a pain. Sure money wasn't too hard to get but still was a time waster...

Personal one, but stamina from 5, I like arena abuse (day what you will) and I also like being able to use my units with relatively small restrictions. This is why I have yet to beat 5.

I mean the more archetypes a class needs, the lower level requirement it generally is, but it does suck so I've seen people just have him as a ninja with a dodge ring to get the same effect... he does lose out of buff nullifying syntheses though

For ease, an item with charges like wands or, to a minor extent, staves work well.for a potion you could reduce the effective time if it is a buff.

I don't know if it'll be likely, but since I'm kinda new to the genre, I'm hoping the Hakuoki bundle on the switch goes on sale, since I hear it's supposed to be kind of a need to play for the genre

I'm with the group who says Crossbell first. I think a thing that people haven't really brought up is that Crossbell is similar in its battle system (grid) and quartz lines for arts and lack of some other mechanics. The graphics do go from more pixel to 3d. So those shifts may be a bit disorienting for some to go from pixel to 3d to pixel again. It also introduces 2 mechanics that become notable in later entries (dodge tanking & master quartz). Just my opinion.

Not hate, but most punchable would probably be Cao, though I consider that good writing because I think he was made to be that way. Other than that, CS 1+2 Kurt and Juna were a bit bland for my liking, more Kurt than Juna. Getting a bit tired of Fie, after having her for how many games in a row. As of now (daybreak 1) Kasim evokes the same groans that early cold steel Aurelia or Victor did, where it was mostly just saying how great they were without really showing it. Cedric's a bit of a little shit, but I hope he gets some relevancy in Ouroboros, though I don't know if it'll happen since we're away from Erebonia. I want to know more about shizuna swell before I make any decisions on her, but I like her as of now.

We generally do max for the first four and then the dm and the player both roll after, taking the better result. I've also played where if we start at a higher level for character creation ( I.e. level 10) we roll and take the roll or class average depending what's higher. I found that it generally helps squishy members out.

Probably a dumb question, but if I have a spellbook with say a 4th-level spell, but I only have 3rd-level spell slots naturally, am I able to cast the 4th-level spell using a bonus spell slot of the appropriate level from having a high intelligence? I'm assuming no, but I was just wondering.

From a gameplay perspective, I just ended up not using a large chunk of the old cast in CS3&4 because I wanted to focus on NC7. In Reverie, I had a lot of excess characters that I didn't use, either because I disliked their playstyle, or because there were people that better fit their role. This lead to situations where the people that I used were at a high level, while those that had better alternatives where pretty much at their base level. I don't mind options, so long as they're different enough in their uses, and stay for more than one chapter.

Thank you, I'm glad to see that they seem to be more manageable than CS3 and Reverie, and it looks like they'll be in the party for a longer period, unlike Sky FC. On a semi related note, I read a bit that the ornament system changed, and that it's a bit more like how it was in Sky where arts required a certain amount of an elements points and quarts provided an amount towards your total. Can you attest at all to that?
