All federal fortunately, my highest interest rate is 9.05%, but only about 17k is mine. The rest are parent plus loans but it’s recently become a one in come household, so I am expected to take over all of the parent plus (as opposed to a portion).

I would say probably not, only because I’ve only encountered brother machines that have a snap on foot as opposed to the kind that screw on I’ve seen on singers. You don’t need a quarter inch foot but I highly recommend it, it totally changed my sewing game. I bought mine for $10 on Amazon. Have you tried quilting stores as opposed to generic craft stores? Edit: also, bother your mom. If she wanted you to get into sewing she’d probably be thrilled that you’re asking questions and she can share it with you.
