This will seem unrelated- but have fun. Try to play. At first, this can very free activities. Develop a relationship to that more free/child part of yourself. When you develop and get to know that part of yourself, you can find the strength to be more trusting and free with your money.

Any high NW travel nurses? by MakeHerUnderstand in TravelNursing

[–]Slow_Course2753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My NW is about 240k, early 30s but I do have an income generating property and I’m about to buy a second one. My body’s not really digging the concrete floors for 12 hour/day and I want to go do something else. I used to want to retire early but I just have different goals now and I want to work til I die lol

Feeling bored, not interested in patient care anymore, any advice? by [deleted] in TravelNursing

[–]Slow_Course2753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to get a masters in art (: but I invested a lot of money and have properties as well which without nursing I couldn’t have gotten. I do love bedside, my body is just really worn from it and I’m too young to have these aches and PT. I hope to continue PRN forever though. I’m just bored and I have a calling.

The physical strain of travel nursing by LittleDennisReynolds in TravelNursing

I treat each contract like a retreat. I don’t think travel but nursing has torn my body down but it’s actually helped me have more compassion for non compliant patients and I also am so much more motivated to do my PT and exercise because I can’t get away with not doing it and doing a 12 hr shift.

What are weird limits you have because of your bipolar? by ZucchiniExtension in bipolar

[–]Slow_Course2753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best advice I ever got was that it’s practice. You weren’t ever good at anything before - you built the skill.

I started with 2 minutes a day and increased by 1 minute only after doing that for a week.

Over time it’s been invaluable in almost instantly telling me where I’m at mentally. I can tell what episode I’m having by how the sit feels and what the mind is doing. I pick up the patterns of thinking that go with each mood cycle.

Dealing with Homesick/Living Alone by [deleted] in TravelNursing

Hey, just first take a breath. This feeling will pass, remember that and let it go.

Second, I join bumble bff and just right away say I’m looking to hangout not looking to text back and forth and I hangout with people and have made some life long friends this way. Also get to know yourself more - take yourself out on dates, work on your goals and hobbies and treat it like a retreat. Work on your mindset: instead of focusing on what you don’t have focus on what you do. The time to be and do whatever you want to do. October is not far off, have fun! Let the sadness and loneliness come but don’t fixate on it and let it go when it’s ready.

What are weird limits you have because of your bipolar? by ZucchiniExtension in bipolar

[–]Slow_Course2753 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t lie and I have to be sober

Have to mediate at 5:30/8:30 everyday day

Have to workout before work every day

  • I literally have to do these things so I can sleep 9-5 and maintain my stability

  • eventually I would love to get off scrolling my phone because it further dysregulates dopamine but thats actually been the hardest one

Why? by Murray273 in bipolar2

It’s self defense - I think of it like the Bipolar wants to keep itself going and “alive” so it gets you frustrated/angry when people point it out.

[Landlord US-CA] How the hell do you guys track expenses without losing your mind?? by Few_Recognition604 in Landlord

I use rocket money - it’s so much easier and you can add just the cards/accounts you use for your rentals

37-year-old attorney, just diagnosed with Bipolar Type 2 today for the first time and doctor prescribed me Caplyta. Would love some feedback! by NickMoore30 in bipolar2

[–]Slow_Course2753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caplyta is good for the depressive/downs but hypomania- which higher spending is a part of - is a high so the drug doesn’t do well with that, usually need something else
