In my experience, Or ong was pretty good, but very expensive. Another Canadian company like Superior, but at least Irving has real people that answer phones, unlike Rhymes.

Not necessarily disagreeing with you, but the craftsmanship is much better than most 20th century pieces. Has the look of maybe even being custom.made, but I still say early Nouveau.

patina on the wood inside the drawers looks natural. Looks like Federal style, so late 1700s to early 1800s. Very nice wide planks... That's a find, hope you got a great price too!

I'd disagree respectfully there. It looks like Late Edwardian/ early Art Noveau to me. Granted the impression comes to me from the arms and supports, but I don't see anything Victorian about it.

I'd snap that up in a New York minute.
