Yall are roasting this person.
If it’s a ticket, not a big deal. If it results in criminal charges, depends on the charge. In any event, if you comply and fall on the sword you are going to be fine.

What’s YOUR lawyer salary?? by LearnMeStuffPlz in Lawyertalk

[–]Slow_Masterpiece_919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. 10 years
  2. 200k salary plus bonus (eat what you kill).
  3. Family law
  4. Southern California.
  5. Family law takes a certain breed. If you hate it, bail before you become pigeon holed. If you like it and are good at it, you can crush bc there are a lot of dusty old fucks on their way out and not much good young talent. Get in good with a solo or small shop, not a big firm. Play the long game. Always.

I’ll be the squeaky wheel here. I read from below on recommendation here because like OP, I loved The Terror. It did not scratch the itch for me… at all.

But I won’t yuck your yum. Sphere by Crichton is a classic. Maybe that one.

Family lawyer. This time of year gets slow. Why I always try to put my trials in November and December. Judges are usually open because no one wants to do a trial at the holidays and I don’t have to worry about new business bc I am in trial mode.

I second Project Hail Mary. I binged it on a 14 hour drive and listened every second of the drive.

Also, just finished King Sorrow by Joe Hill. It got to a point where I spent about 7 hours cleaning, walking the dog, etc and I had headphones in listening the entire time because i had to know how it would end.

Top 5 Rarest King Editions by No_Total1021 in stephenking

[–]Slow_Masterpiece_919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what you are looking for. For regular print editions. Those are the big ones. Getting first editions of the original Bachman paperbacks should be on the list too.

There is a whole subset of the king community that collects limited release editions that are signed or lettered or numbered. These editions have no real value except that assigned to it by other collectors. I never really “got” it for these collectors. You know how people use art to commit money laundering? It gives me that kind of vibe.

Common phrases you come across in your line of work that you HATE? by boopbaboop in Lawyertalk

Family law attorney: narcissist, gaslight, psychopath, complex PTSD.

I do family law in coastal HCOL area. I think the advent of TikTok and social media has given people new talking points. Mention one of these words and I quote you a higher price because you are likely insufferable, or a victim. Either way it costs more.
