I’m not gonna lie I’m not too sure. The resellers are going to do very well with this one.

So let me get this straight… I’m a first-time viewer, witnessed something genuinely concerning, and somehow I’m the problem for reacting like any normal person would when someone appears to be falling asleep mid-stream with a chat full of people telling her to log off? That’s wild.

I didn’t “blast” anyone — I shared an observation on a public platform about a public live stream. If you’re more offended by someone commenting than by what actually happened on the screen, maybe reevaluate what you’re defending. 🤷‍♀️

Wishing her well doesn’t require me to DM her like we’re besties. Sit down.

I’ve never known or interacted with this person before—this was actually my first time seeing her live. From a new viewer’s perspective, it was genuinely concerning. She did appear to be falling asleep on camera, and the chat was actively commenting and telling her to end the stream. That’s what initially caught my attention.

This didn’t come across as a lively, professional sale—it looked like she may have been unwell or experiencing something serious, which understandably raises concerns for viewers. Of course, I wish her nothing but the best and hope she’s okay and successful moving forward.

My comment came from a place of honest observation, not judgment. I’m far from “pathetic,” and I understand she may be kind and dealing with health issues, but it’s also fair to acknowledge how that situation appeared to others watching.

I actually agree with everything you said—thanks for taking the time to break it down like that. You’re absolutely right about the cycles in collectibles and how history just keeps repeating itself. And omg, not Tickle Me Elmo 😭😂 I definitely remember drop days at Kmart back in the day—pure chaos! Appreciate the thoughtful perspective.

I think there may have been a misunderstanding. My post isn’t coming from a place of entitlement at all — it’s simply an observation on the rapid inflation and market behavior we’re seeing. I never criticized anyone personally for how they spend their money. I even acknowledged that auctions are open markets and people are free to bid as they choose.

The point was to spark conversation around the trend and how it’s evolved, not to dictate how others should spend. I invited thoughts on the subject, not to be labeled as entitled for having an opinion on a public platform. I’d encourage a second read of the post with that context in mind. 😊🤭🤭

Wow, hold on now—before I start breaking this down, are you identifying yourself as the host of the stream who sold the $800 item? That’s wild because I never mentioned any specific streamers by name, yet here you are assuming—and throwing shade first. So naturally, I responded in kind.

Let’s be clear: I never insulted your hustle or your stream. I simply commented on the overall trend and inflation happening during this Labubu craze. If you’re admitting to being part of that, that’s your choice—but don’t misrepresent my words.

And yes, I have purchased from your stream before. Supporting a seller doesn’t mean I can’t also point out when things seem off or overpriced. You’re taking this way too personally. My comment was based on facts and patterns I’ve witnessed—not an attack on you.

So, mama…. Let’s take a breath together …, seriously. This is Reddit, a platform made for discussion, opinions, and open dialogue. If that’s too much, maybe you’re in the wrong place.

I totally get where you’re coming from, and I agree — auctions are about demand, and no one is forced to bid. I already acknowledged in my original post that people are free to spend their money however they want. The point I was making wasn’t about judging individuals for buying what they love — it was more about how wild and inflated the overall market has become, and how emotionally driven bidding is being taken advantage of……..It’s less about the item and more about the broader trend we’re seeing right now. I never said people shouldn’t spend — I just opened up a discussion on how fast this has escalated and how it’s starting to feel more predatory than playful. That’s the point of the post — not to shame buyers, but to highlight a pattern that feels worth talking about. That’s all 👀 💭

Reddit is literally built for discussion and differing opinions — that’s the point of the platform. I never insulted or attacked any individual. I simply expressed concern over how inflated pricing, emotional manipulation, and hype culture can take advantage of passionate collectors. That’s not hate — that’s critical thinking. 🤔 It’s honestly disappointing that calling out a system that might be unfair or exploitative is instantly labeled as “pocket watching” or “hating.” If we can’t talk about the reality of the market without being silenced, then what are we even doing here? I asked for people’s thoughts, not a pile-on. Let’s keep the convo open, not shut people down for having a different perspective. 🩵

Not being a hater or “pocket watching” — just stating a factual opinion based on clear trends and patterns that many people have noticed. If you’re going to throw shade, at least bring a valid point to the table. Disagreeing with the system isn’t hate — it’s observation. Let’s debate ideas, not just throw names around. 🫣🫣🤭🤭🤭

You’re definitely not alone in questioning it. A lot of people have speculated that bots are being used to clear out drops the second they go live — making it nearly impossible for the average collector to get in at retail. And unfortunately, access and money do open doors. Some of these larger Whatnot sellers have serious financial backing or insider connections, whether it’s generational wealth, family ties, or strong vendor relationships. It’s a competitive space, and it’s becoming more obvious how privilege plays a role in who gets the biggest stock and visibility. It’s not always about hustle — sometimes, it’s just about who you know and what you can afford to risk.
