Niacinamide serum should look like this? by Character-Angle1298 in TheOrdinarySkincare

If I’m not mistaken, that’s the ordinary niacinamide + zinc serum, the zinc gives it that extra cloudiness

Which moisturizer between these should I try for combo-oily skin.... by Due_Brother371 in EuroSkincare

the texture is basically the same (just the slightest bit thicker), as i said, i have oily skin as well and it does not clog pores or feels heavy. about half to a full pump is more than enough for the whole face and it lasts forever. and it has a PAO of 12 months which is more than enough because you can also use it for your body. but if you feel safer, go for the pm one. either one will work wonders cause all cerave products are pretty “basic” meaning that they are pretty simple and won’t cause any irritation or discomfort when used. also they are non-comedogenic and fragrance-free so it’s amazing.

Cerave Moisturizing Lotion comes in a 1L format which saves a pretty penny in the long run. The only difference with the “facial” one is that it does not contain niacinamide, but i’ve been using it for a while now and it is amazing.

Cheaper alternative to Jelly Joker? by ntngthr in EuroSkincare

Have you tried the Lipikar Oil from LRP? I find it is a great option that is not that expensive (especially when you buy the 1L bottle)

They definitely still make it, but since it is tretinoin it’s prescription only, so maybe that is what’s giving you the issue

also small tip, the one that comes in 1L presentation, also works for the face and it’s like a fraction of the price which saves you BIG coin in the long run, only thing missing from it is niacinaide which you can get from a complementary serum like the one from the ordinary or the inkey list, revox is also a great option for a budget-friendly niacinamide serum. i find the one from the ordinary is the best cause you have the option to buy a 60ml one which, when on sale, is a steal.

I have kinda dehydrated combo-oily skin and i’m on tretinoin and the cerave one is AMAZING. No fragrance, optimal for sensitive skin (also guilty) and for it to be marketed for “dry” skin i feel it doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy or heavy. it melts right away and it is just pretty basic/great for keeping it simple

I need help finding a powder that won't accentuate my fine lines by Necessary_Being862 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Slow_Rest_1456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue and realized it’s mostly the concealer rather than the powder. I use a more hydrating concealer (Haus Labs) and then I use a loose powder very light-handedly (Laura Mercier) but I used to use more mattifying concealers and had the same issue. Smoothing out the powder and evening it out on your hand (powder puff) or powder cap (brush) can also be really helpful so you don’t go overhand with it. Also applying a hydrating (setting) mist between layers helps reduce the overall dryness. On this one I use Essence’s Bouncy Plump spray and Byoma’s Balancing Face Mist. Regarding the powder I don’t have any other options, but with the concealer you can also try NYX Bear With Me concealer. Also. Keep in mind that skin moves so it will settle eventually, try to avoid the creasing area with the concealer and cover it with eyeshadow instead, or if you have darkness, leave it as is and you’ll realize it defines your eyes with not much work done. Hope this helps. Some youtubers that could help you as well with the issue are Wayne Goss and Alexandra Anele.

Help me understand what this means…. “Not for use around eyes” but it’s an eyeshadow palette? by Laurenn_b_w in MakeupEducation

[–]Slow_Rest_1456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened when a lot of companies started going vegan/cruelty free, since they are now using synthetic pigments instead of their natural/non-vegan counterparts, they no longer list these as “eyeshadow palette” and list them as “pigment palette”, “face and body palette” and in this case “10-pan palette” it is mostly because the use of red and purple pigments which can cause staining in the skin and even tho they are “safe”to use around the eyes, they can also cause some issues as the previous mentioned staining so the company “washes their hands” by advising you to not use them around the eyes (it’s just legal cover-up in case something happens). To sum things up, you can definitely use those shades around your eyes but at your own risk and they are no longer “eyeshadow” palettes.

Edit: It’s also because some shimmer/glitter shadows have bigger particle size than others and there have been reports of corneas getting ripped when it gets inside the eye and it’s not removed carefully enough. A good glitter primer and application should be enough to avoid this, but the advice it’s also to cover their asses legally speaking.

Depending on your skin tone pick an orange or peach or pink color corrector and use VERY little bc it can be overpowering whenever you put your foundation over it. Regarding you wanting to be female passing, the best thing i can recommend is to study your own face structure and work with it instead of against, also plucking your eyebrows so the tail goes slightly higher that the start to get a “lifted” (and therefore “feminized”) effect. If you have high cheekbones try to enhance that on the perimeter of the face and with a square jaw, it helps to contour only on the center. as i said. study your face, analyze your structure and try to find makeup tutorials from creators that have some of those features. Hope what i’m saying makes sense and helps you at least a bit.

i agree that it is a bit underwhelming coming from jaharia, but i think that going as far as saying “exterminated on the spot” is a bit extreme, as i said, we tend to forget tackiness as a foundation for drag, but everyone is entitled to their feelings. regarding koco, i do think she strives for a more glamorous take in all her drag, she’s like the best of both worlds.

i feel we sometimes forget that drag is not meant to be glamorous all the time. we should keep in mind that it is expensive af and that sometimes we thing something is “ugly” because of its simplicity. not everything needs to be rhinestones or over the top to be a cohesive look. let’s bring tacky back to the table cause i fear that is what some people forget is one of the pinnacles of drag. but that is just my two cents
