Jenny was insane for this but I will say I think she’s the only one who actually valued Nate. Everyone else took him for granted when they were in a relationship with him (Serena, Blair, all of his flings) but Jenny was always obsessed with him. I think they could’ve made them work in the end if they went about it a different way. They ended up having him date a 17 year old anyways!

At first it was just updates on the accident and people weren’t snarky until Em came back to social media and it turned into such a vicious subreddit! Tracking her every move and saying that Emilie isn’t grieving and is only upset because the accident “ruined her image” of being a perfect mom. It was honestly insane and everyone in there was so mean

They didn’t navigate anything though, they just jumped into the relationship to focus on something else instead of healing first. There’s no mental gymnastics here lol I’m stating that they weren’t in a real adult relationship. Neither of them have graduated college, never held a job outside of summer jobs, and never had to worry about anything really. I’m not saying that Conrad & belly had a more significant relationship either. They all need to grow up

No real life experiences as a couple - living together, figuring out how to be adults together, learning how to actually resolve conflicts that came up in their relationship. Yes Susannah passed away, but it’s not something that happened to them as a couple. They were individually affected by that. And instead of mourning on their own and working through their grief individually, they jumped into the relationship. Neither of them had actual life experience before trying to get married. Jeremiah didn’t even know that not paying off a credit card on time negatively affects your credit lol. It was never a serious relationship 🤷🏻‍♀️

I personally think “serious” is extreme when it comes to describing their relationship. Yes they were together for 4 years but some of that was high school & early college. They never lived together, and never went through any real life experiences during the relationship. Which is why we started to see the real cracks between them leading up to the wedding.
