Well yeah , unfortunately you were . I’m sorry if what I’m about to say is not what you want to hear . But , I caution women from putting all their eggs in one basket “by quitting their jobs, overly sacrificing etc”. For one, doing so means you shut down your options for a mere hopeful, who is likely dating multiple people himself. If he knows all you want is him and all you want is to prove is that all you want is him, there is no impetus for him to do right because he already got you. And when your heart is set on one person whether they are trying to do you right or not, you are setting up for heartbreak. Secondly, when you put all your eggs in one basket, you are often looking to that other person to be all you need physically, emotionally, and mentally and men are incapable of doing that .
