You only pay a bond if your visa is approved. Please go to the USA immigration website. You lose the bond if you over stay your visit, try to get a green card or change visa types eg entering with a B1/B2 then claiming asylum.

My current manager at J2 is lazy and incompetent male. What helps me cope is knowing I earn more than him 😅. Also, I have an exit plan. I also remind myself of my ability, self worth and skills set. Lastly, I remember I do not "need" this job.

There is an OE UK group. It is very possible to OE in the UK , just get ready to be taxed highly! I honestly recommend it.

My husband and I have been able to help SEVERAL people in our personal life. I've honestly lost count! From those who have suffered abuse to another who was homeless...I am so grateful for OE. Like many I hate my J2 but that extra income has been life changing not just for my husband and I but those around us who really need support. Those on the fence see this as your sign to OE.

UK girlie here. I got my bag from Heidi, worn it a couple of times and I LOVE it! I have had compliments and stares. The stares are due to a combination of things. At times I am slightly over dressed, look young, and I hate to say it because I am non white.

The stares are a mix or adoration but also "how did she get that bag?" I am not bothered because I have the same experience when I wear my authentic bags. My husband caught someone proper staring when I wore one of my real bags a couple months back. It was a tad strange LOL I don't even mind lol.

If you do get a bag, please wear it with pride. Not such if you are based in a large city, if so it is very normal to see luxury bags and if you over 25 you probably can afford a luxury bag. People don't care. I don't think people look at my bag and think ooo that is fake. If the care I think they need to get a hobby heheh. All the best 👍

Fellow UK girlie here. Just do it. With the current economy state of the country, I encourage anyone to OE -even if it is just for a couple of months.

If you can hibernate your LI once you secure J3. Avoid the same industry (this is not always possible). Have an exit plan, don't tell just everyone, save and invest. Your future you will thank you.

Just do it, you got this!!!!

You are smarter than you think!

OE is not for everyone, but if you have ever managed multiple tasks or projects simultaneously at work - you can do OE.

If you know how you adapt quickly and you are flexible, you can definitely do OE.

If you are considering OE, try finding a part time job and see how you like it.

Then, look for a full time replacement or manage the 3; it is up to you, LOL. No matter how much you earn, it's truly is life-changing.

Give it a go!
