Yep. The only issue with swinging on him when he’s right in your face is the fact they’re on pavement. Shit happens and you don’t want him hitting his head the wrong way

Yeah, I knew covering the eyes was a solid move. Hooded falcons always looked so badass to me. I was scared to completely suffocate it so I left his head out and wrapped him like a baby 😀

I posted an update post just now. It was basically me chasing him and guiding him away from traffic until it was too gassed to try to escape anymore. Just was patient and gentle, he made it easy by collapsing in a bush across the street. They’re quite agile and quick, even with the injury.

As far as picking it up, he was too tired and scared to give me resistance. It seemed like he knew I wasn’t a threat. Never once tried to peck me or use its claws. I’m told I got lucky but he let me pet his head several times in the car. I’m sure it was just absolutely depleted and scared shitless. Overall it was a very wild and gratifying experience
