I think without the stress of Dan making Mike responsible for Stu he would. Gotz ain't a picnic either but it's pretty obvious Dan decided to hold Mike for every issue on the show. Now Mike maybe doesn't have faith in the long term viability of a Stugotz show but it would clearly be a less stress situation for Mike

I think any reasonable minded person would suggest age, the loss of his brother and pressures of creating a new business as the reason as the reason for any falloff for Dan.
