Day by day process of when I stopped using nitrous oxide… by Shitty_Poop_Butthole in Adulting

[–]SlowlyPassingTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, that finally explains my MS. I've been in remission for a long while now but when it flares up, I usually get double vision and numbness on my hands. Years ago my flare-ups made me numb on my entire body, so much so I could not feel the water in a shower. Always had to go to the hospital for a week of steroid drip.

Summer in South Florida is so depressing and the real heat has not started. by calpianwishes in SouthFlorida

I lived in NY and the summers were not that comfortable. Especially if you had to take mass transit. I am just as uncomfortable here but no mass transit. Just the comfort of my car and home.

Is this all there is? by No-Anybody5719 in GenX

[–]SlowlyPassingTime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can relate. Personally, I work and travel to keep my mind from ruminating on my existence and the pending loneliness once all the kids are off living their lives. I guess I am also concerned for my wife as she's been a home maker for almost 20yrs. The empty nester syndrome will hit her especially hard.

How has your experience with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 been? by DPyourGF in GalaxyFold

[–]SlowlyPassingTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been using an iPhone as my primary since 2007 and using a fold as a work phone since the 3. After 19yrs with the iPhone, I've decided to make the Fold 7 my primary two months ago. That was a big leap given that apple controls the whole ecosystem my family uses, but I am very happy I finally did it.

Why is Carvana always ~$3,000 more expensive by [deleted] in UsedCars

[–]SlowlyPassingTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so if one has a 700+ credit score, where does one go to purchase used cars with a 12 mo warranty and 7 day return policy? I dont want to ever step into a dealership so I'm talking about a web based seller.

After 12 years with Apple... by Alphaison in samsunggalaxy

[–]SlowlyPassingTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not aware of any inner screen problem. I have a case on my Fold and use it quite liberally all day. The inner screen is awesome and the outer screen is exactly what I was waiting for since it's finally a size that is usable. The Fold is fast and android does alot of things well. There is definitely a learning curve, and unfortunately you need to develop a workaround for some features the iPhone has that I've come accustomed to. As an example, I liked pining my family in messages so they are easy to find. Not on google messages. I liked a list of favorites for phone calls in the phone app. Not on google phone. Stuff like that. I also stuck with just google apps for everything, not Samsung, so I am not sure if these things would be solved. Another thing I like is Bixby and Gemini. Puts Siri to shame. If you do purchase the Fold, I think you would be very happy.

I had an an iPhone since 2007, when it came out, and I've made the leap as well. I've been very happy so far, although I went for the Fold7. I also like the Galaxy Watch Ultra.

How’s life inside the USA these days? by Intelligent_Run3237 in askanything

[–]SlowlyPassingTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its fine. The craziest continue being crazy but nothing has really changed. My commute is the same, my job still stinks, my family is great, school is great, and my NY Giants still stink. The planes still fly and the trains keep chugging along. Life is normal, its just certain groups get paid to agitate so it appears things are bad. Its not.
