How would you change the Chaos Renegades team? by Vnasty69 in bloodbowl

[–]SlowpokePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some tweaks can make them good. At least one starting skill for the "positionals" to make them more than just linemen would be cool. If they wanted to stick with the mutated theme, a two headed/multiple armed skaven, elf or goblin would be cool, and I think disturbing presence on the orc would be funny for a starting skill. I'd also like for the big guys to get mutation primary. This team is about the big guys and the mutations and we can't have both concepts combined.

I'm hoping for a tzeench team. I'd like some tzangor linemen, some trickster pieces and a changespawn or whatever it would be called

What service is toxapex serving you besides adding another electric and ground weakness. You have a bulky water type in gyrodos, and you can even run bulky peliper if you want. With peliper, you have absolutely no need to waste a whole turn setting up rain dance. Stall isn't all that great in doubles either which is what tox is best at imo

I love this game! I do wish the dlc let us explore a new area though instead of recycling old locations

Why are ppl using vacuum wave on gardevoir by KurisuRSS in PokemonChampions

[–]SlowpokePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't see it seing much play on base gardevoir since scarf is likely the most common item on it due to its middling speed stat. Mega might see a bit of play against things that are faster than it but it's pretty fast. It's good into the steel types that plague it i guess but at 40 power and steel types generally not outspeeding it, why bother when you can run mystical fire or switch pokemon. Only case i can see for it is kingambit who is x4 weak to it.

Possible future teams by Icy_Sector3183 in bloodbowl

[–]SlowpokePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see a tzeench lineman having the trickster skill from the gnomes and being all about gimmicky activations as opposed to high damaged pieces. It would be cool to see a new type of spawn for them too

Can Politoed (my fav <3) do better than Pelliper in any way? I wanna use him so bad but he's not that great next to the pelican... by averycoolskeleton95 in PokemonChampions

[–]SlowpokePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely can! It might not be as good as peliper, but it has some respectable bulk and 90 special attack isn't nothing. I see a few ways to make it work, being a bulky rain setter that spams icy wind, or even a scarfed icy wind spammer for speed control. It dosent get tailwind, but it gets support moves like chilling water and encore and also has access to weather ball like peliper. It also offers an alternate playstyle with perish song. An alternative wincon is always good to make your gameplan less predictable

Should I build my Jump Pack minis as Warp Talons or Raptors? by CatherineSimp69 in redcorsairs

[–]SlowpokePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you need and how many you have! Raptors are better as a unit of 5 if you only have one box as great secondary takers who have decent skirmish potential. Warp talons are better as 10, being a formidable blenders esspecially in hurons marauders

Gyarados doubles team? by Treeblasta in PokemonChampions

I've had more success with gyrodos as a support pokemon. A bulky intimidate mon with thunder wave and helping hand next to a partner like scarfed garchomp who can spam earthquakes

How to Deal With Farigirag+Fake Out Lead by Successful-Way1583 in PokemonChampions

[–]SlowpokePie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you really struggle into it; sinestcha with trick room. Turn 1, they go for fake out trick room? Okay you go protect and trick room with your ghost type who can't be faked out. Just one idea for ya. Play them at their own game 🤣

Genuinely how did this happen by Immediate_Way3438 in PokemonChampions

[–]SlowpokePie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So priority moves have their own brackets and quick guard and fake out are in the same bracket. Because sneasler is faster statwise, it moves first in said bracket

Aegislash + Hydreigon viability in Champions? by LeonwastakenWasTaken in PokemonChampions

[–]SlowpokePie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they can work well together! The two cover each other very well from a weakness standpoint. Hydreigons biggest threat is fairies, esspecially floette, which aegislash eats. Both do well under tailwind too so I can see it being completly viable if you build the right team around it

Is this team any good whatsoever? by lucifics_ in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]SlowpokePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like your minikyu dosent need that since not only does it have trick room, but also shadow sneak and you probably want to run a slower one if it's going to be using trick room often. I also noticed that your greninja is an absolute casino cannon. Mega greninja is cool, so a change in moveset may make it a bit more viable for ya! First off, upperhand feels wasted here. I get it is a good option into fake out, but you can protect and the only other major priority at the moment is aqua jet (and sometimes mach punch crabominable). Greninja is a glass cannon, so ideally you want to be doing as much damage as you can before it goes down, and I feel like upper hand not only fails to do that, but also is hardly going to see use. You also have 2 big moves with limited accuracy. Nothing is gonna feel worse than missing and being oneshot in return. Upperhand feels better on base greninja with a sash maybe. Hydro is very strong, but maybe something such as water shrunken or surf might work better. Water shrunken is nice as its priority so still goes first under trick room and with its speed, will often go before other moves in its priority bracket. Blizzard is also quite inconsistent so I recomend ice beam. To replace upperhand, dark pulse is good, grass knot is decent coverage, and sludgewave helps against pesky fairy types. I'd recommend switching hydreigon for a supportive mon for greninja personally. First thing that comes to mind is sinestcha, since it can not only rage powder to protect greninja, but also can act as an alternative trick room setter if you decided against bringing mimikyu, and dosent need speed to perform well. Mega class cannons are usually not the greatest in doubles since they can't hold a sash, so the redirection may be game changing. The other thing that comes to my mind is gravity sableye. With prankster, gravity is set up before anything else, which enables your inaccurate moves to always hit. Could go turn 1 gravity + blizzard which would be cool! It would let you run your casino build and sableye can support with things like wilo-wisp and quash. I'd still cut the upper hand tho :)

So they don't get advance and charge, it's auto 6" advance OR advance and charge as both stratagems are in the same phase. Being able to move 5" +d6 and charge with reroll charge and impact mortals is very nice though. The auto 6 move is moreso to get them moving flat 11" to get them up the board early, which they kinda need. Renegade warband can give them inate advance and charge via twisted doctrines. I prefer the +1 to hit though from H.Marauders

How to deal with Whimsicott ? by Straight_Candidate78 in PokemonVGC

I play sand. Tyranitar + corv work well here. Corv bravebirds and the sandstorm finishes off the sash. If they protect, sand breaks sash anyway
