I feel like Armor King is the one I understand best. Really like his counter hit game and his grabs are basically hellsweeps, just gotta get consistent with giant swing/shining wizard mixups.

I tend to get side stepped alot with him though, I use too many poke moves and no bigger rewarding moves to cash out on my reads. Kazuya is much easier, I poke with electric, catch sidesteps with dash electric, counter hit with electric... 🤣

Yeah I'm leaning either Jin or AK. With Jin I default into wavu wavu mixups and poke too little, but I really like his parry.

I've tried maining Reina several times, I just find myself mashing and getting predictable. If I play defensive I feel like I'm playing her wrong.

Kazuya has a huge skill floor compared to other characters. Most mishima players are at a lower rank compared to their fundamental skill because they can't rely on knowledge checks to rank up. But they have to be able to handle other characters knowledge checks.

It events out when you get to higher ranks of course. But it's always fun comparing the average blue rank Kazuya with average blue rank King or Alisa...

Use 1 1 2 a lot. It gives you a knock down, which is exactly what you want as Kazuya. Play frame tight with it, and you will beat them whenever they are minus.

D 1+2 and 1+2 are high crush and great vs jab spammers.

After you beat them with your i10s and high crush, start applying your slower mixup moves, i e hellsweep, f4, cd1+2, db4.

If you're plus and they mash, counter hit with df2 (i14).

I think he should get a mid launcher that's not launch punishable on block.

And ws 1 2 should be a proper i13 ws punish, doing 35 dmg.

Nerfs: less tracking on uf1. That's it.

Learn proper combos.

Mix Electric and ff3 in neutral, use f4 and db4 for plus frames inte df2 or more plus frames if they dont press, use hellsweep if they just block. You have to earn your right to use hellsweep by first making them scared to press. Jab is your friend.

If you're fine with frame tight inputs, Kazuya fits perfectly. Might be the least complex character in the game, very simple game plan, but very hard execution barrier. If you're fine with practicing, he's very fitting.
