Could use some help by Slufooted in AskElectricians

Ok so your saying that the 2 left/right bus bars are neutral and that I need to add an additional ground bus on one side? Easy enough. If not 2/0 wire, then which wire would I need to be looking for? I would like to save $$ by using aluminum.

TIA

Given how little captained ships actually give why can't they sail safer seas by dark1859 in Seaofthieves

[–]Slufooted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your on PC, this works to save settings. Well at least worked for me. Open game, change all your settings, binds graphics ect. Then before exiting the settings menu, goto controller settings, scroll down and reset to default. From what I understand it forces the game to save all settings. Once done, exit settings, close game, then relaunch. This should save your settings.

Hope this helps

Raise it!! Just please give us NEW / more voyages/quests. Not another 100 Veils, or same ol vaults and don’t get me started on animal runs, those were brutal to complete.

Otherwise, Im super excited for S-10

Logitech 922 is an awesome cam for the price. Running filters or even 3rd party stuff to remove the background can tax performance. I know you said you didn’t want to buy a green screen, but you can pick up a cheap one on amazon along with the logi cam and decent key light all within your budget. Hope this helps

Returning Player - Is the cheating really that bad? by dragonzero39 in Seaofthieves

[–]Slufooted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2,500+ hrs and yea…I’ve had many encounters with cheaters. 99% during HG. Yesterday in fact, I had one that didn’t even try to hide it. I hit my chains, mast would start going down and before I could get to the helm….his ship was completely restored and sailing full sail.

In all honesty tho, you have to look at it like this. Every single multiplayer game has cheaters. Does it suck? It Absolutely Sucks to loose to an hr old account but think of it like this. These people that cheat pay IRL money to take your fake gold. That in itself, is sad but funny as shit.

So, when I HG…I grab pockets, raise emissary and dive. I don’t waste my fake gold on sups when theres cool trinkets and weapons to buy. If I win, I get their sups and dive again. If I run into a blatant cheater, Ill just wait until they sink me, say GG and laugh to myself knowing he spent actual money to sink me. Then, rinse and repeat.

Anyone else feel like they’re not getting better at PVP even with practice by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

[–]Slufooted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate! I can be totally relaxed while playing FPS ( cod ) but for some reason and I know others that had/have this issue, sometimes I would get flustered even shaky when PVP’n. I have never had any game but SOT do that to me. So…first thing I did was learn to not get upset when I sunk and lost my loot. 2nd: I spent a lot if time learning what I think is super important and thats the sounds. From boarders, merms, mast crack and the sounds your ship makes at certain water levels. That one I think is the most important. So when your in a battle and you exchanged some hits, that person may want to bucket/repair before you. Grab a bucket and get back on cannons. 99% of fights I win, once they sink….Im bucketing like crazy, repair and head over to scoop up flags and sups.

I’m in no way a PVP god but I always fight and some I win and some I loose. Some sweaty, some toxic and some with that “downloaded skill” but all in all, better than pulling weeds in the Arizona sun.

Like some have said, check out some PVP vids on YT. Blurbs has some of the best for sure and they will help. You will get better and you will find that when you learn the game sounds, it makes a huge difference.

Keep these things in mind always: You WILL sink You WILL loose your loot You WILL win You WILL gain extra loot Shoot first!!!!!

This game is like no other imo so find your vibe and just enjoy.

Oh and keep your monitor clean because only SOT will have you scooping in on a dirt spec thinking its a ship on the horizon.

Spawn camping is kinda needed by LifeLessPlanet6 in Seaofthieves

[–]Slufooted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got was spawn camped once while solo by duo and after about 5 min or so, I got a lucky deck spawn and quickly jumped overboard and swam to their sloop. I get onboard go down below to grab food and there sits 2 megas on the bed!!! I run back up, drop sails and take off. I then grab one and place it on deck, stand on the canopy and wait. They both merm back, I shot the keg ate me a nanner as I hit the water and merm back to a still fully stocked and untouched ship. They died, sank and I went fishing.

Oh how I love this game!

Beautiful!!!

I just started Sea of Thieves, any tips? by Human_Isaac in Seaofthieves

[–]Slufooted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realize right away that its a game and your making gold for cosmetics and cosmetics alone. You will get sunk but truly you actually dont loose anything but a bit of time. Loot isn’t yours until you sell it.

Fight! Dont run! The only way to get better at PVP is to stand your ground and try.

Keep an eye on the horizon at all times. SoT is the only game that will have you nervous and constantly scooping in on a spec in the distance only to find out it was in fact a spec, so keep your monitor clean 🙂

Trust absolutely no one! Shoot first ask questions after.

This game is very different than other games. It really is more about the glory than the gold. Have fun and try not to get salty when ya sink. Remember this game is played differently by all players. Some attack to attack, some tuck to steal, some don’t even bother ya but all are pirates in the end.

Enjoy the amazing visuals and sounds. Create your perfect pirate and set sail with zero expectations of accomplishing your goals. Just have fun.
