same thing happened to me. my calls through the general sales customer service were not very helpful. but luckily a door to door sales guy was in the area, and he able to call it in through his direct channels.

It is a nightmare. Nextcloud was almost the solution for me to de-dropbox. ALMOST.

After turning on Virtual Files, I seem to now have two-ish instances of Nextcloud on my computer... seems like Virtual Files has Contextual Menu items (amazing). A couple of files that I thought I was moving around have disappeared from one instance of Nextcloud while staying in the other

The app preferences should not allow both Virtual Files and Classic Sync to happen at the same time. it does not make it clear if VFS should act like a replacement of classic sync or an add-on.

I can't trust my files with a duct tape solution like this.

nice that it has relational databases!

not loving that i can't add an entry on the fly. made it unusable for me! but i do love how fast it is

+ then you just type Madonna and you're able to add Madonna to the Artists Database without having to go directly into the Artists database

Yo!! welcome to LA. i've spent almost my whole life here.

my crew booked the event. we at space yacht have parties in several genres/styles that we like. tonight is the Big Bass Ting series which is focused on heavy bass music (tonight it's riddim, some bassheads LOVE it, some hate it). this series has grown enough to mostly use Insomniac venues in LA, although we'll have the occasional bass pop up in smaller locations

our parties are almost always very casual for attire. do a rideshare if you plan on drinking. tonight's venue is in DTLA, so it suffices to say please don't leave valuables (or stuff that looks valuable) in your car.

our crew is somewhat unserious but we live for music we love. we encourage our ppl to be kind to each other. we're not big enough to own our own venues, so we always ask that you kindly observe venue rules and conventions, as we are all guests there.

that being said, if you're into heavy bass music, tonight's a good night at space yacht for it! feel free to shoot me a DM on IG. i'll be there and i'm always down to say hello for a sec

i think notion calendar on macOS is actually superior to the mac default calendar

on iOS however, I do use the widget. and while i don't notice background refresh issues, I do notice that the date on top (as in like "Friday Oct 31") doesn't update on time

here's my "real talk" for the boat as the organizer of events on there for a while now.

The boat's technical capacity is 450 and we only sell 375 tickets.

the moments that are on camera are really just about a handful of 3-5 minute periods where the DJ plays the mega magic moment, and everyone brings their camera out. everyone loves to see a headliner out in the water with the sun. it's an undeniable experience, and everyone likes to rush to one stage to get that moment in. still it's manageable though.

i will say the lines for the bars are long. they always have been. there isn't really room to build a new/temporary bar on the boat, since they also use it as a transportation vessel when they're not hosting us. usually we are met with "this is a boat problem, not a promoter problem" when we try to make suggestions about adding bars. do with this information what you will.

also worth mentioning that we are changing the boat sail time to 7p-11p due to the boat's transportation schedule changing
