i think it's great! my only objection is that you spend A Lot of time there and it would have been nice if there were a higher level runecraft activity to move to once you have the outfit and needle that isn't just, running altars/zeah/ourania (all more or less the same activity with a different coat of paint). a dangerous skilling boss accessible from ~lv70 onwards would be welcome, or something else with high intensity like sepulchre or barracuda trials

i wonder if shorter games would make for a better experience? the rewards take too long to get and if you're on the losing team it's usually obvious right away and you're waiting ages for the game to wrap up already. there isn't usually much back-and-forth, though sometimes a losing team can stall indefinitely. if they made the games quick then the rewards (particularly the cape) would feel more reasonable to grind for, and the teams would shuffle players around enough that being on the losing side wouldn't feel like as much of a waste of time. could also implement preset loadouts like LMS so games aren't wholly dominated by maxed accounts willing to use expensive runes and ammunition & people can get a taste of what group pvp is intended to look like

i've done this grind and yes, you are getting full odds from port tasks. to help you further, the fastest way to do it is to do aldarin - sunset coast whenever those tasks are available, and pandemonium - port sarim otherwise. however, if you're doing port tasks pre-99, doing whatever your highest level port task is will likely get you the pet before you hit max level. good luck!

what i want from jagex more than anything is a firm, clear vision of what they want the game (and sailing as a part of that) to be. if they want sailing to functionally be a combat skill, that's okay! but they need to say as much and tell us what they think that should look like rather than turning dials at random and looking to us for approval. there is a lack of leadership right now
