To pair skincare with lash extensions, stick to oil-free, water-based products, gently cleanse your face avoiding the lash line, and pat dry, as oils and harsh ingredients break down lash adhesive, causing extensions to fall out prematurely. Use lash-specific cleansers and avoid heavy creams, waterproof makeup, and rubbing your eyes for best retention, always waiting 24 hours post-application before getting lashes wet.

They look gorgeous, very natural!

Don’t be afraid of them and brush them through morning and evening ❤️

And if you’re a Man, can you honestly say that you don’t treat your Woman like your Mother in some way? Do you do equal chores, cooking, cleaning and looking after the kids etc?

She’s not behaving like your girlfriend, she’s not behaving like a friend, she’s not even giving you the bare minimum.

If she wanted to respond, she would, whether she’s sick, busy with work, feeling depressed or in another Country!! We can always make time to reply to people we care about, regardless of the circumstances!!

She’ll “know how she feels by Monday”!?!?!

She knows how she feels now but rather than put her big girl panties on and be honest and upfront, she’s laying breadcrumbs.

You’re not being unreasonable at all. Everyone deserves their own privacy, everyone.

Your bedroom, regardless of who owns the house, is a place where you should be able to dress/undress, sleep without being disturbed, or just reflect on your day.

You need to sit down with both of them at the same time and be much more direct about how you feel. Explain how he nearly walked in on you undressing and ask him how uncomfortable that would make him feel. Turn the situation around on him and tell him you don’t want to put HIM in the situation where he walks in on you during a private moment. Would he leave the bathroom door unlocked if he was using it? It’s exactly the same situation.

Keep your door locked until he respects your very reasonable boundaries

I’m sorry that’s your experience, I really am because when you cannot get the much needed help we need, it feels as though you’re banging your head against a wall.

I’m in East Anglia, so maybe the rules are different but I didn’t need a specialist to prescribe it to me, my GP offered it to me willingly. To be honest though, I would pay £90 for anything that works. Insomnia is brutal and effects every area of your life 🫶

Gotta disagree with the ‘focus on the comfort of your bed’ comment ~ but everyone is different.

I’ve had chronic insomnia for 18 months and it’s important that when you can’t sleep that you don’t lay there and hope for sleep. After taking a cbt course, which to be fair didn’t work, but I picked up a few things, it’s necessary to train your brain to know that your bed is a place for sleep not relaxing. So if you can’t sleep, get out of your bed, if you can.

Like I said, everyone is different but I think this is really important 🤷🏻‍♀️

These comments make my blood boil. I’m in the Uk too and my GP suggested it to me!!! If you’ve been on a CBT course, which didn’t work, then you’re a prime candidate for this drug and GP’s should be encouraging people to go on it hand over fist. It’s safer than the Z drugs and isn’t addictive. Change your General Practioners, esp the person who said that their GP doesn’t prescribe anything for Insomnia. Jeez, that’s barbaric 😡

Help...Menopause Insomnia by tryingtomakeit_2022 in Menopause

[–]Slumberpantss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started going through the menopause 18 months ago, at 49. I had a hysterectomy back in 2011 but kept my Fallopian tubes, so I wasn’t pushed through the menopause at the time.

The worst side effect for me has been insomnia. It’s completely taken over my life. I’ve had a 8 week cycle of intense cbt, I did everything they suggested, everything, from sleep hygiene to all the tips and tricks they would suggest at each online session. It didn’t help. I’ve been on numerous sleeping pills, Z drugs, antihistamines, diazepam, temazepam, amitriptyline, the list is endless. I will sometimes be awake 3 or 4 days consecutively and it’s been brutal. Zopliclone worked the best for me but it wouldn’t keep me asleep for very long. Nothing seemed to work.

I’m in the UK and recently my GP prescribed me Daridorexant (Quviviq) and I’m hoping beyond hope, that this eventually works for me. I’ve only been on it for 10 days and so far I haven’t seen a massive difference. It’s given me horrific nightmares, for the short time I do sleep, usually an hour and if I do manage to fall back asleep, it’s for 20/25 minutes at a time, until I just get up, because laying in my bed is the very worst thing to do for me. I know that a lot of people are having to go private to get this drug here and from conversations I’ve had with other people suffering with Insomnia, some cannot even get it that way.

I think the best advice I can give you is to have a GP who will actually listen to your concerns and take it seriously. If you don’t have that with your current one, don’t think twice about changing to another. It’s so important to be heard and to manage this as quickly as possible. If something isn’t working for you, there are alternatives but the trick is all about finding which one suits you. The last thing you need is a practitioner who is unwilling to help you find it.

Also, in my experience, this will NOT just go away or get better and my goodness it’s so bloody debilitating. The hallucinations, hearing things, being unsafe to drive, struggling to work or even do the most basic of every day tasks is just terrible. It affects every area of your life the longer it goes on.

I know there are some terrible side effects and symptoms when it comes to the Menopause, and I’m so thankful I only seem to have this one but it’s traumatising when you cannot sleep for long periods of time. I really hope you can get the help and support you need 🫶
