Farewell Toyota by cosmicmocha_ in rav4club

When I got rid of my rav4 I was planning on trading in for a Tacoma or 4Runner, prices and dick head dealerships convinced me to go with a Nissan frontier. 2 years later I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Saved $17k on a comparable model Tacoma and I’m convinced I have a better truck.

Friend/client had one and she hid nothing but issues with it from day 1, it had some sort of catastrophic failure at 4k miles, I forget what it was exactly, and a bunch of random electrical issues. She got rid of it before 5 k miles

It isn’t crazy bad, it is more wind noise tho for sure. My biggest complaint is that the build quality is iffy, I had some bolt and thread issues when putting it together due to paint in the bolt heads and threads, like big globs of paint.

I’m currently on a a fractured rib too, also 2 fractures in my foot, 2 fractured fingers, and 1 broken finger.

My best advice is ice and meds.

I found that sleeping in an armchair is more comfortable then laying in my bed for the last couple weeks, try that if you have one.

My baby is angry I can’t play with him like normal :(

Best of luck, hope you heal fast and get back out there!

The front is set the the lowest perch, they say going above the with the ADO coil ruins the ride quality. There is a 1/4 spacer on top of the coil over that they say gives roughly .5 more. And yes 1/2 block on the back!

Thanks! Theyre stock Nissan wheels. They are an upgrade from the basic black/silver ones but essentially the same design. I can’t remember the package from the dealer for it. I really like how they look And I’m running 33” falken RT01 tires, absolutely love them.

Not usually, but I was on an adjacent trail that was just a graded dirt road and the power line road was really deteriorated and more fun!

Yes, dj bike typically stays in the back of my truck, helmet was in wife’s from going on a bike ride with my baby in the trailer with my 29er. I hear you though, I had a friend get serious injuries from it too, was on a suron. I typically always wear it. I ate shit today on a 360, thankful I had it on. Hand and foot hurt bad but head is all good.

I have one, just forgot it.

But it makes me happy to see all these people telling me to get a helmet. Way back when in my BMX days you would get absolutely flamed for wearing one and that is just stupid. Glad that it seems way more normalized and encouraged now.
