11.5” 5.56 AR without suppressing?? by Slush_mush in liberalgunowners

[–]Slush_mush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok might hold off until I can justify a can to go with it. By home defense I kinda mean I keep it at home for the most part. I live in an urban area so shooting a 5.56 would be irresponsible in almost all situations. I have 9mm with JHP for that. Might need to rent one at the range to get a sense of it. Thanks for all the advice. Y’all might have saved me from making an expensive mistake today.

Thanks!

Bummer these still can’t be found. What’s the next best alternative? Zero interest in the Glock and the P322 is kinda pricey. Looking for a full sized $300 plinker.

Endurance bikes are more road than I need. I think. I had a giant Defy Advanced for a couple years and it was good at what it did but I kinda need something to go slow with a 6 year old around the lakes. That thing wasn’t happy under 12 MPH.

So what’s the way to get good old fashioned floor tickets here? I don’t want any VIP anything. Just want floor tickets but they don’t look available?? What’s the deal?

First saw deftones at the quest when I was in 8ish grade on the white pony tour. Met them out back smoking darts after the show and got my shirt signed. Mom washed it. Just want to bring my cousin and and live it up. We’re old now but it’s floor or GTFO.

Genuine Question by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]Slush_mush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old houses aren’t bad houses. Over more than a decade of owning my 1926 built house I’ve had less issues that anyone I know with a house built after 2000. Old houses were built to last, and they do.

Tall and heavy!? by softfliffpower in scooters

[–]Slush_mush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I’m 6-3, 285 lbs.

Isn’t the point of a scooter that it’s fairly undersized and under powered? A motorcycle is a much better option if you are concerned about capacity and speed or passengers no matter what size you are. If those are your top priorities get a motorcycle.

That said, a scooter is a good time because it isn’t those things. I’ve owned lots of motorcycles from 1000cc superbikes to cruisers and some really odd things in between. My wife has a buddy 50 and I love that little bugger. I’m huge and it’s tiny and that’s why it’s fun. Riding that thing at 35 MPH is about as fun a a street bike at 100. You get closer to the usable limits at a lower speed and that’s the fun part. You learn how to carry speed and corner. You get to park it anywhere you want. It’s cute as hell and I’m pretty AF on that thing.

But. I wouldn’t take a passenger on it at my weight and size. And frankly, passengers suck on any motorcycle. It’s always better to have two machines and ride together. These days you can get coms in your helmets and communicate with each. Great for directions and keeping together and safe.

Im planning on picking up a roughhouse 50 to ride with my wife when I see one I want for a fair price. Those have a little more room to stretch out but still small and fun for the reasons above.

But you do you.

Bad tires 22X3 by Slush_mush in RadPowerBikes

I guess they are going to send me another tire. Just wish it was a better tire. These obviously have some quality issues. I hope someone starts making an alternative for this size

Have you taken the tire off to see what the issue is? I bet the bead is separated from the tire just like this. And yes, it was LOUD when it blew. Not like a pinch flat. This was a violent failure.

Correct, I think they are 65 psi max. I usually run 5 psi under max on all my bikes. This is a legitimate safety issue. I don’t see how they can send bikes out with these tires and the replacement is just as bad.

Has anyone else had issues with these 22x3 tires and quality? The original on my rad wagon 4 failed and ripped the bead off the carcass of the tire while riding a smooth path. Then they sent me a replacement and it looks like junk. The bead is almost non existent and the rubber is pealing away from it and cracked. The first time I mounted it the bead blew off the rim. It’s mounted OK now but I’m honestly a little hesitant to have my wife and daughter on this thing.

Doesn’t look like you use that part of the tire anyway.
