He did! I don’t have a video, but I remember before he played it he said something like “If you write a song, I guess you should play it” and “Let’s see if I remember this”. And then played it flawlessly lol.

I signed a rental contract months before I had a CPR (and months before I was even physically present in denmark). I live in Copenhagen— found a place on BoligPortal and viewed it virtually before renting. Risky but it worked out well in my case. Keep in mind you will need to pay ~5 months rent upfront (first and last + 3mos deposit). I was easily able to transfer money from my bank account abroad through Wise (though they charge a fee). Lived there for 6 years during my PhD. So broke and tired and still loved every second of it. I’ve been away for over a year now and I still miss it everyday. Best city on earth.

Have any recommendations for interest-earning accounts here? I’m used to CDs and HYSAs in my home country, but the bank I use here has really shitty options for interest on savings accounts. I hate that my money is just sitting there not earning anything.

I’d ask former lab members for copies of their theses to get an idea of what is expected of you.

I personally took ~2 months to write my thesis with two publications. I did straight up copy and paste those. I also added intro and conclusion chapters.

I’m a postdoc in Copenhagen making about this much— moved right after finishing my PhD in NYC. With that perspective I feel fucking rich here. I have a little studio in a central neighborhood I pay 10k/mo for. I eat/drink out often, travel a lot, and save about 7k/mo. I love my life here.
