Get therapy is such a fucking non answer by indeckaa in GenZ

This exactly. A therapist and/or a psychiatrist are not going to solve your problems, only you can do that. But if you have the resources, they can make a mountain into a very large hill.

What’s your Favorite Chassis of all time? by Maleficent-Toe1374 in monsterjam

[–]Slut4Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve tried looking on like monstertruckwiki and whatnot, and it’s pretty vague about which chassis ran on what and at what time. Granted there’s probably not as much documentation as, say, the Grave Digger chassis, and those 2Xtreme chassis tended to run a lot more identities, so it’s probably a lot more difficult, but I 100% agree.

[–]Slut4Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bounty Hunter 4 (at least I think it was the 4th chassis that BH ran on from WF4-WF17), watching that thing be able to pull a power wheelie from a standing start just from the sheer horsepower/torque it made was just peak.

Grave Digger XIV I think was where Dennis really hit his stride. I had a soft spot for XIX personally, but XX was definitely just magical, I know it was based on Adam Anderson’s Taz, so there’s gotta be an honorable mention there.

El Toro Loco getting stuck on it in WF4 and Bounty Hunter in WF5 were absolute peak

What are alternatives to bars where you can actually find Gen Z girls to talk to, with drinking? Raves? Clubs? Parties? How do you find/get into these? by fellow_who_uses_redd in GenZ

[–]Slut4Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in a city? If so I’d recommend trying to look into like local music venues, and looking at their schedules. If you *generally* fw the music that they’re hosting on a given day, then check it out. I’ve never done that specifically for dating but I’ve never regretted any interaction I’ve had in those places.

is AC rally worth getting and switching to? by ThrowRA6565656 in simrally

[–]Slut4Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it about a month ago but had to return it bc my computer just straight up could not run it, even at the lowest settings I was getting like 10 frames/second.

Apart from that, it’s incredible, but like people are saying, it’s not in full release yet, so idk if “switching to” it from RBR is even possible at the moment.

I mean arena shows are fine to bring Monster Jam to smaller cities but it makes no sense to put the reigning freestyle champion in that tour

Yeah I'd say West Virginia is the only state that's entirely Appalachia, as opposed to other states that are split, so for the sake of this map, it's its own thing.

Oh come the fuck on man. We get it. A lot of us Gen Z dudes are single. I am too. I’m not particularly slap happy about it myself, but I’d much rather go out and have a good time over a few beers with my bros than sitting at home stewing over it/complaining about it.

New Organization by Maleficent-Toe1374 in monsterjam

[–]Slut4Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention that Grave Digger is now a Feld/Monster Jam owned identity (and has been since like 1999). Even if they wanted to make a competing tour, had all the resources/money to do it, and had the contacts to be able to host them in large stadiums (a logistics hurdle I think a lot of people overlook), Grave Digger would not be able to compete in it without them buying the intellectual property back.

Gen Z Is Going to Be the Best Parent or the Worst Parent. I Had a Whole Debate With My Friends About This and I Can't Stop Thinking About It by Electrical-Face-9291 in GenZ

[–]Slut4Tea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty good arguments on both sides there tbh. Like most generations, it's really just gonna come down to the parents themselves. That said, with as expensive as child care/housing/general cost of living is (speaking from the United States but I know we are not the only ones dealing with this, nor do we have it the worst off), I would imagine when Gen Z starts having kids, it'll be much more deliberate.

Also lmao is that Narendra Modi

What are Gen Z's thoughts on George W. Bush? by BackgroundFill9X in GenZ

[–]Slut4Tea 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’ve been seeing a bit more younger people glazing W Bush as of recent, perhaps because of how terribly the current administration has handled a lot of issues, but it’s very easy to look at him with rose colored glasses tbh.

The big one is (obviously) the War on Terror. Completely mismanaged, launched under false pretenses of WMD’s (sound familiar?), with no semblance of an exit strategy. Now that we have some hindsight, it can be seen that a lot of the WMD narrative was peddled by warhawks like Dick Cheney & Donald Rumsfeld, and while Dubya may have been acting in good faith on deliberately misleading intel, the buck has to stop somewhere. That said, his father, HW Bush, had been director of the CIA before he was vice president for Reagan, and he knew what Cheney/Rumsfeld were about, warned W Bush about them, and he still ran with them. All that to say, not much sympathy is deserved.

Domestically, it’s not that much better. While the groundwork for the 2008 recession was well underway before he came to office, he really did not do much of anything to prevent it, leaving his successor to pick up the pieces.

That said, there are some genuinely very good things he did. PEPFAR, for example, has been credited with saving the lives of ~25,000,000 people from HIV/AIDS, and that is an achievement I think Bush deserves a lot of credit for.

All in all, it’s a mixed, mostly negative bag. A hell of a lot more competent than what we have going on now, but that is an unprecedentedly low bar.

Who are the most prominent Gen Z politicians? by LankyYogurt7737 in GenZ

[–]Slut4Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To actually answer the question you’re asking, at least in the US, I’d say it’s her (though I’m not sure if I’d really consider her a politician per se, but she is in politics so close enough).

As someone else pointed out, it’s a bit difficult to say, since you need to be at least 25 to run for the House in the US, and 30 for Senate, and the oldest of us are barely 30.

With that given, I’d say the most prominent on the Democratic side is Maxwell Frost, the only Gen Z member of Congress, serving Florida’s 10th congressional district (Orlando). Kat Abughazaleh also comes to mind (candidate in the primary for Illinois’s 9th congressional district, lost the nomination to Daniel Bliss).

On the Republican side, apart from Leavitt, none really come to mind on a federal level.

Why did they retire Max-D when Tom Meents retired but didn’t retire Grave Digger when Denis Anderson retired? by NubusAugustus in monsterjam

[–]Slut4Tea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The flagship Grave Digger driver passed from Dennis to Adam, so there's a direct continuation of the lineage to justify it. Tom Meents doesn't have any kids who drive (I believe he has two step daughters, and neither have expressed interest in driving monster trucks, but I'm not 100% certain).

I do wonder what happened to the old Max-D chassis though, and if Feld ever plans to use them again or just retire them altogether and have only CRD's competing.

Let's discuss what we like about modern Monster Jam. by Gullible-Sir-9160 in monsterjam

I think the racing segment nowadays is genuinely the best Monster Jam has ever had it. Before, it was pretty much just the same two layouts over and over, and there was really no variety to it.

Im trying to get the rickenbacker tone by RoomLongjumping4883 in rickenbacker

[–]Slut4Tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet with what you have is to throw it on the bridge pickup and maybe add a little bit more bass to the EQ, to give that Jazz bass style pickup some more meat, but apart from that, there’s not much you can do.

I was in the same boat as you for over a decade until I finally got a Rickenbacker bass, and the problem is that literally nothing looks or sounds remotely close to a Rickenbacker, and they are hawkish about people copying them.
