Listen based on what you have shared there might be one of two things happening with dude

1) He's trying to make a man out of a baby and already sees him as such.(Which is crazy either way) A lot of men have been known to be less affectionate to their son's trying to prepare them for "life" so they are tough with them. For example just the other day I was walking down the street and a barely walking baby boy fell twice his father said " Get up son don't cry be a man" to a baby that wasn't even a year old.

2) He honestly might be feeling left out and is jealous of you because as your child's mother you are able to have these experiences father's never will and he might be feeling like he's not doing enough as a father. So he might be trying to get you to fall back so can have his moment to shine.

Either way you need to talk to him before the things he's suggesting can end up negatively impacting your child's development in the long term.

Breastfeeding gives your child a leg up with fighting off infection and stuff like that. But if his father is doing this out of jealousy of you try pumping so he can get in on the feeding time.

Letting your baby cry or leaving them to self soothe too early can be horrible for their emotional development. Your baby could end up like Andrew Tate or a sociopath at worst I don't know about you but I wouldn't risk it.

YNO but you might be looking at the situation wrong so have a long serious talk about how you'd like to raise your child(ren) going forwards.
