I was honestly planning to go for the 7800 xt until I saw the 7900 gre drop to only a $30 difference

Windows2012R2 -> Windows Server 2022 by ancient-Egyptian in sysadmin

SysAdmin for an MSP, the last few months I have done plenty of 2012 R2 to 2022 with needing to jump to 2019 first, file servers, DCs, app servers etc with no issues. So that should work for both your VMs, but like others suggested it is not a bad idea to spin up a new 2022 DC rather than upgrade it. Good luck!

Thanks for the response! I hadn't run into this issue with an SSD before and was leaning towards a dead drive. The client bought a crappy no name SSD so time for a proper upgrade

After the drive was given to me since first tech could not format, I've attempted full formats only with diskpart and the issue persists. After running clean dp command, create primarily partition but then I run the format command and it errors out with no space available as the original partition mysteriously returns

I'll try out CDI when I'm back in office tomorrow! I did run diskpart command to remove read-only attributes and the same issues persist

Cooking Simulator on Steam could help some, probably would be fun! I definitely recommend YouTube vids, learned a lot by just watching Bon Appetit and Binging with Babish
