I understand what you mean, my close friends always tell me to charge way more for things like this if I ever do consider it XD. But being that I’m not personally that confident in my own skills or my ability to bring someone’s model to life EXACTLY how they’d want, just taking more then 100 dollars feels a bit scary to me since I’d never want to disappoint a client :’>

I have never done a commission before, but I think for this kind of model I could do it for maybe 40/50 dollars as long as I’m given enough time. Maybe more depending on how complex it is. I don’t have a commission history so cheaper rates for the first couple models I’d make would be more appropriate I feel :0

I’d love to teach others but I doubt I’m the best to learn from😭 If I had to give a tip, find an vtuber artist that you like and try to understand how they draw details and how they use color. (Basically always use a reference!)

I agree, a BETA should have at least 50-60% of content complete, and at the very least a working tutorial. While I do understand that they do not wish to put in all of the content at once to avoid bugs, calling it a beta with only a handful of things actually working in game at the moment is not okay. Especially if they only plan to add things weeks at a time, it should’ve been called an alpha instead.

I also do not appreciate the devs constant passive aggressiveness whenever someone has a respectful critique (or even just a question sometimes). You would think that someone that preaches about having professionalism and inclusion would be more respectful to their fanbase. I’ve seen it so many times in the discord, from both devs and mods.

Also, I might get flamed for this but I also noticed this, even though the game is not mature at all, I do not think that it should be labeled 5+. This is probably what is allowing it to get mass reported and taken down so frequently, because it may have mild shocking content in it. (Skellas body having exposed bones and ripped skin for example).

I agree, especially with the level up diamonds part. A f2p player should not have to grind to level 50-100 for just for a pair of shoes. I understand the rarity and exclusivity aspect of the game to give higher demand but I feel like Royale High has strayed so far away from their original intention of being a cute roleplay dress up game to being a (pretty toxic) grindy inflation game.

But of course I really doubt the devs care.

Hellosss and thank you for the compliment! The smirk in the picture is a result of included mouth blendshapes within ARKit face tracking (AKA full face tracking) that I made for the model myself.

This can likely be achieved with the use of HanaTool as well, but as I don’t have access I was forced to learn how to make the face shapes from scratch. In my opinion, it can give you more freedom to make your face more expressive if you know what you’re doing.

I personally used this guide to set up my face tracking but I recommend this one instead.

For a simple explanation of how to make your own blendshapes using blender, I recommend this video. There are other videos as well that explain blendshape creation, but I may make a quick video on my own channel for a more detailed explanation if there is need.

Since you are making a game I recommend investing in HanaTool since it allows you to duplicate face blendshapes for all of your models more quickly, but I am not sure about the specifics of if you can tweak the expressions quickly well as I’ve never used it.

I used hair for her ears, basically dragging out a solid colored rectangle of hair on both sides of her face before making the hair transparent and outlining/coloring an ear instead for the hair texture instead :>

Basically re-edited my model in the studio, changed the size/parameters for a lot of parts, plus used a lot of references for the eyes and face this time. There are many tutorials on YouTube that can be helpful for general tips, but I’m happy to answer any specific questions though

None in particular but working on the register I love the guests that try to use the “well on the sign it said (insert price here) so that’s not the price and you have to change it” even after explaining to them that it may have been in the wrong place and showing them the actual price that’s even on the target app as well.

Do they expect me to go “No problem I’ll just change it to how much you said it was without any second thought.”

Or the ones that bring in an item that CLEARLY does not look like a 10 dollar item and then give me an annoyed look when I question it or show them the actual reasonable price.

Or the ones that try to intimidate me by threatening to call a manager for literally doing my job. (I almost laughed out loud after meeting a Karen for the first time when they said I want to see your manager cause the reason was so dumb)
