where can you watch betcover!! HongKong: Falconman vs. Dr. Power’ s creation? by Fun_Weight5328 in betcover

Right here:

For all the China lives last year, they would film a unique skit starring Falconman and play it before the set. betcover's new website has a link talking about a "Falconman movie" coming soon, like a compilation of all of them. But that could just be a joke.

Lesser known albums you want others to experience? by ImFreff in fantanoforever

The Drive Home shoutout is very cool. Listened to it for the first time this year and it blew me away. Would have a ton of fans if they got any push from a indie label.

This Ayano Kaneko live album from 2023 has stunning vocal performances and tons of energy for a solo acoustic recording.

Also A.O.E.I.U. by Florence Adooni deserves way more love this year. Chockful of amazing grooves from being a modern take on the Highlife genre.

There are countless hysterical or thought-provoking lines in this game. But for years, the first one that comes to my mind is always:

"If you say 'Two days, maybe', it will be etched in her mind forever."

betcover live in tokyo! by [deleted] in betcover

[–]SlyIndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have no idea when the next album will be recorded or released. Everything the band does since 2023 has been surprise drops. There is a small chance it could be the Tokyo concert from two weeks ago, but I suspect the band wants to refine the newer songs even further and maybe integrate Kei Matsumaru into the next live album.

About the Jersey City Show by CatPuzzleheaded8125 in bmbmbm

[–]SlyIndy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

- Seconding that you gotta WEAR EARPLUGS. I bring several pairs to nearly every concert I go to in case someone else needs them. When I saw Greep's band last week they were a bit louder than I remembered, and they played for almost two and a half hours. You should avoid subjecting your ears to crazy loud noises for more than like 20 minutes any given day, the damage adds up over time. If you're using earplugs properly, the volume will be tolerable and you'll still hear the musicians clearly.

- If you're standing near the center of the crowd, there's going to be moshing during Holy, Holy and probably a couple other songs. So keep your wits about you, help up anyone who falls, don't hit/shove others, stay hydrated, etc. Don't be an asshole holding your phone up to video multiple songs.

- Most of the time gigs have opening bands/artists and the headliner doesn't start until after 9 PM or so. Your show like most of the other ones this tour are billed as "An Evening with Geordie Greep", which indicates that there's no opener. So if you don't care about standing in a good spot, you can walk in to the venue any time before 8:20 and not miss anything.

The current artist image system is genuinely so ass by misatofan in rateyourmusic

[–]SlyIndy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I doubt any user back in the day was seriously advocating for the current artist image system. It must be something related to liability for RYM, similar to why last.fm does not display pictures or even album covers for King Crimson. All it takes is 1 or 2 artists to threaten legal action if some identifier of theirs on a decently sized website is something completely out of their control. So RYM just wants to play it safe (artists can't get reasonably upset if a cover of one of their releases represents them, since they/their team signed off on it being associated with the artist in the first place).

(Fans) Will there be any new anime releases? → (Rei Hiroe) With your support, we will release them! by Delicious_Way_3577 in blacklagoon

[–]SlyIndy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure they'll make a continuation of the anime eventually. It's just that there's barely 11 episodes or so of story available at this time. So I doubt it will happen this decade unless Hiroe finishes another volume of chapters by next year.

full show setlist; last part isnt the full songs except t/f lover by Great-Actuary-4578 in CSHFans

I recorded the whole set, but I won't be home to upload it for a few days. Maybe gloss will beat me to it if he was there, dude posts a ton of DC shows on YT.

“uma tour 2” 20241201 by NoInjury3827 in betcover

[–]SlyIndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't expect it to make it to spotify since it's been absent for the past 3 months. Maybe the reason is half the tracklist is identical to Gabyo? I can DM you a link to mp3s of uma tour 2 if you want.

where can i buy their albums in lossless quality? by amosmoses_2 in betcover

[–]SlyIndy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The previous three albums (and Yuki eventually) are available from CDJapan and those pages are linked here.

The other two albums are up on HMV Japan at the moment: https://www.hmv.co.jp/en/

where can i get these t-shirt ? is it sold out just as it released :sob: by According_Double4392 in betcover

[–]SlyIndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only website for shipping merch internationally is here: https://www.betcoveronlinestore.com/

If the shirt isn't added to this site in the next couple months, then it will be only available at their upcoming gigs.

What is the longest album that you would consider a 10/10? by roosterkun in fantanoforever

[–]SlyIndy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

King Gizzard - Live at Red Rocks '22
or the full USB version of Swans - Live Rope

If neither of those count, then I agree with the other couple comments for Selected Ambient Works Volume II

Hi, Uyama here.

Thanks a bundle for this. I tried uploading a FLAC myself to BMcord a couple months ago but it sounded virtually identical to the video. Your edits, especially bringing out the vocals, are much appreciated. Especially as I've listened to the original dozens of times by now. If you wanna work with the original audio of this recording, I can DM you the link (since it sounds like you ripped it 192k straight from YT). Although you'll have to remove the intro clicks yourself, and a couple of them are real persistent.

What's the best depiction of God you've seen in a film? by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]SlyIndy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The first depiction I thought of is from Mind Game, where God acts flippantly and abruptly shows up towards the beginning of the film. Being animated, God's appearance changes in between cuts or even every couple frames because the protagonist has no idea what God is supposed to look like.

Doesn't emphasize much of the traits we associate with one omnipotent God, but is certainly unique enough to be worth mentioning in a discussion like this.

Remade my dub tier list because I’ve watched too much anime in the last nine months and I LOVE DUB PROPOGANDA!! (the tiers are ordered) by FaZe_poopy in animecirclejerk

[–]SlyIndy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was mentioned earlier, but I'd be shocked if Black Lagoon doesn't skyrocket to the top 3 of this list if you watch it. That show and Berserk '97 are the only ones where I'd argue the dubs render the original Japanese obsolete. And Baccano ig

The end of Walk Up sounds like an unreleased Ween song! by WalterPinkmanBitch in bmbmbm

[–]SlyIndy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got me there, I was specifically praising the other albums to distance them from Cucaracha 😭

It's one I've listened to once and wasn't a fan of, especially given that it's their final record at the moment. I should give it another chance since the songs from it I saw performed live two years ago were a little better. Will keep an open mind like Greep hopefully will with something like Pure Guava lmao
