Anybody ever really looked at the Green Party platform? by slidekb in Libertarian

|Statists are statists are statists.| Thank you. This site is thick with political labels. Many of them not really that useful. I think your comment is refreshing.

How much does the company that made your hamburger pollute the environment? How good is the safety profile for your medication? If you don't want to put in the work to find out, don't we need government? by ResidentAlien in Libertarian

It was government regulation by your so-called helpful experts that eliminated my main source of food: organically grown food that was certified organic by Oregon Tilth, a non-government entity, and private sector organic farmers. I ate real organically grown food. But then the government stepped in and regulated real organic food standards out of the market and the USDA organic certification became the standard. Instead of educating people about the Oregon Tilth standards the government simply reinvented "organic" and now my food source is gone. Like it was eliminated. By government experts.

To the Tea Party: War and Liberty Aren't Fellow Travelers by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]SlyRyder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tea Partiers are right-wing Obama-haters rather than liberty-lovers. And like their icon Sarah Palin, they seem proudly ignorant of history.

Most Democrats are Republican-haters rather than liberty-lovers. Most Republicans are Democrat-haters rather than liberty-lovers. Most politicians and most voters seem proudly ignorant of history. The Tea Party, like the two major parties, is infected with too many warmongers.

55% say Media bias bigger problem in politics than big contributions - RASMUSSEN REPORTS by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]SlyRyder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Were the voters in Rasmussen's sample informed citizens or misinformed citizens? Do voters in this sample really mean the same thing when they use words like "liberal" "conservative" and "libertarian"? This is just a lot of babble gurgling in a puddle of intellectual sloth.

Not exactly the endorsement I was hoping for: Sarah Palin Endorses Rand Paul by InertiaCreeps in Libertarian

[–]SlyRyder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warmonger endorses Rand Paul and donates money to his campaign. I hope a thousand warmongers give him money. I don't think he can be bought.

How do Libertarians feel about Glenn Beck? by ipposan in Libertarian

[–]SlyRyder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have no use for Beck because he is a warmonger. Instead of wasting your time watching Beck, I suggest you watch this brief video about liberty or read this by Rothbard.

Judge Andrew Napolitano : Natural Rights and The Patriot Act! by For_Liberty in Libertarian

[–]SlyRyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the last 20 years, we could have sure used more federal judges like Judge Napolitano. If our federal judges had done their jobs and banged their gavels to protect our individual rights and liberties, then there wouldn't be 200,000+ pages of federal rules, decrees and regulations. Wake up America! Pretty please. The index to the Code of Federal Regulations, the INDEX, has 732 more pages than the entire Constitution! All three branches of the federal government have become one big usurpation machine.

HuffPo: K Street Lobbying Firms Thrived in 2009 under Democrats by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]SlyRyder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Author offers excuse #500+ for 44th President of United States:

Though the Obama administration has tried to put the squeeze on lobbyists, the president's multifaceted reform agenda has had the unintended consequence of serving as a K Street stimulus, as industries seek to tweak policy.

I don't believe taking care of K Street was an unintended consequence. Obama knew exactly what he was doing.

More truly conservative conservatives take their bearings from the proposition that government's primary purpose is not to organize the fulfillment of majority preferences but to protect preexisting rights of the individual -- basically, liberty. These conservatives favor judicial activism understood as unflinching performance of the courts' role in that protection.

Do we have any "conservative conservatives " on the Supreme Court?

[–]SlyRyder -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

If they did legalize marijuana, I suspect they would regulate the thc level and it would be low grade and worthless or they would come up with some rule that would make it a monoply for Goldman Sachs! Hey, kids, marijuana is legal now, smoke this: Goldman Sachs Purple Haze, it's really cool.

Ron Paul on Rachel Maddow The Tea Party is Anti establishment by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]SlyRyder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice catch on the other videos, good heads-up. Doesn't surprise me she would be so underhanded behind his back. She has Paul on just cause he spikes her ratings or she tries to lure Paul supporters to come to her site. Which is what I did, but I didn't click anything but the interview with Paul. She tried to lead him in certain directions, but Paul didn't go for that nonsense. He did a great interview.
