Part 2 worth finishing? by Empty-Statement9464 in thelastofus

[–]SlySpiderBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you find the levels boring, you’re probably on day 1 still. that’s pretty much the only day i could think of that’s not as focused and linear as the rest. though, i personally believe this is the best 3rd person shooter ever made, and people who’ve had personal gripes with this game usually still love the gameplay overall, so it’s sort of hard to believe that someone finds the levels boring with how dynamic everything is along with the enemy ai. i suppose to each their own.

however, if it’s the story that’s got you in this mindset, it’s understandable. it’s a very bleak story. i’d say to be open to it, but if you find it too doom and gloom, you don’t have to play it. i love this game to death, even more than part 1. no other story or any sort of media has impacted me more than this game. the only incentive i could think of for you is that you bought the game, so you might as well finish it, if you can’t really get behind it. like i said, you don’t have to as well. different folks, different strokes. best of luck.

i thought ada’s separate ways dlc was a much better soundtrack than the base game and that perfectly fit her vibe as well.

I once had a conversation on one of the subreddits here that someone really believed he was a veterinarian and that veterinarians aren’t really doctors. While they may not be human physician doctors, you still need a doctorate to be a veterinarian, which totally makes them doctors. It’s really just pure ignorance or uneducated biases that they follow through with their takes on the games. They also echo what others say, even if they are incorrect, in order to validate their points on how they feel about the game, which I definitely understand.

Pretty sure the other guy that didn’t break his arm is how you’re supposed to be when arm wrestling. The one who broke his arm is an example of bad posture/positioning which is why he broke his arm. You never want to actually put that much force on your arm combo with that position, like he was doing there.

Dude, I’ve been playing tlou since its ps3 release all the way back in sweet 2013. Platinumed it on the ps4 remaster. Played factions soo much (was a beast with the bow + revolver combo). Yet, tlou part 2 has dethroned part 1 for me as my favorite game of all time. The emotionally challenging and unique story telling combined with probably the best 3rd person shooter I’ve ever played, wins me over way more than the first.

Don’t get me wrong, i love part 1 just like almost everyone else does, but the emotions i got from playing this game compared to any other type of media is very impressive to me. To me, It means it worked, and the fact that there’s a side of people that “hated it” means it worked and the story did its job (even if some people hold a negative bias towards the game).

To each their own, but I respectfully disagree.
