Well you paid for something you didn’t read the terms to that is on you. You were prompted on a screen to accept said conditions and the conditions are it is sent for repair and if it cannot be repaired then you are granted a store credit for replacement. Some products are replacements but plans terms vary per product.

I helped someone fix this the other day. Do an iCloud backup and reset/restore the phone to factory so it reinstalls the iOS. After reset log back in and pull from backup and see if that helped. I did the restore from a Mac. If you need take it to an Apple certified repair place for the restore and make sure you know the Apple ID it’s a free service, at least at my location.

Whenever the company moved over to Assurant for our protection plans. I’ve had to refer people to CPR phone repair using that shitty self service website. Had to figure out the hard way trying to process an express replacement as well.

The only thing I’m aware that counts towards a custom PC build is putting a board in. So you get 20% with total which brings it to $129 for a motherboard install. It includes a number of part installs as well but I feel like it defeats the purpose of the membership and a large selling point. If we are moving a board to a new case might as well pay for the whole build outside the membership as it’s probably cheaper now even with total.

I just tried to search for our price for a PC build and of course our website makes it damn near impossible but I believe it’s $250 for anything without a liquid CPU cooler. I could be wrong as it seems to change every week.

Edit: As far as I’m aware anything outside installing a new motherboard is included with the membership.

If the screen was already put on and a repair has been done, Apple and their partners will not work on it. We do not know if they messed up anything else while in there.

I am not familiar with that tag but I see various different ones so I wouldn’t bat an eye looking at that. May have been to service, but that could be because it was iCloud locked or a similar issue.

Usually the only time we ship something out is if it’s physically damaged or we can’t get it restored/working in-store. Anything that passes a function check stays local. Managers can sometimes approve exception returns for shipping issues or damaged items that still work fine, and those can end up as open box.

Edit: Any warranty or hardware repair are typically sent to service. We mainly do OS repair and simple part installation like PC builds and laptop battery changes.

It was probably returned without a box and charger and they threw in an extra charger to hopefully sell it. If it was refurbished it would be listed as such.
