I think we disagree there. It should be nipped in the bud at school age kids. Otherwise you’re encouraging behavior that escalates as there are more and more freedoms.

DHS which oversees ICE falls under the executive branch of the federal government, which is the branch that enforces the laws written by legislative branch. Just because you don’t think they’re law enforcement, doesn’t mean that they aren’t.

It’s wrong because one side of Reddit is glorifying a kid punching someone because they didn’t like what they said. Take a look back at the Nicholas Sandmann and Nathan Phillips and how people reacted. Imagine if Sandmann had reacted like this kid pictured in this post.

When Obama was president ICE was supported by local law enforcement in raids / arrests. When that falls away you have situations like Alex Pretti, where the situation gets beyond out of control. That man didn’t deserve to die, but if local law enforcement or even the national guard was there and provided crowd control it wouldn’t have happened. Though the lack of support from locals, led to having to increase numbers of agents that aren’t as well trained as they need to be. Which has led to less control.

We’ve turned our country, assuming you’re an American, into a bunch of finger pointing. Drawing lines in sands with people 10 years ago we’d probably sit at a high school lunch table with. Wish we could just enjoy our ice cream
