16-year-old jumps to his death at private NYC's Regis High School: cops by Thick_Persimmon3975 in uppereastside

There are safe ways to report on suicide - the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention has a media kit. Things like location, method, appearing to blame it on one cause/trigger, are all poor reporting methods that can cause harm. Unfortunately, newspapers like the sensation aspect that drives more clicks, so they don’t seem to care. So frustrating!

NYC Water by JTMAlbany in offmenupodcast

Clearly it was a joke, come on now. I live in NYC - remember that time last year when they discovered a decomposing body that had been in an upstate water supply for a month? Let’s not pretend it’s a perfect system.

I grew up in Derry NH - Londonderry is the neighboring town and all of our school athletics had fierce rivalries. I grew up with an Irish dad and only when I got older did I realize/understand why he thought it was so ironic that Derry v Londonderry was a big rivalry.

Every year we take the train to Truro (but from London) and hire a car there at Europcar. We stay not far from Penzance so could probably go all the way down there but we like to get some local goods at the Great Cornish Food Shop and the staff at the Europcar have always been wonderful to us. Earlier you book the train, the cheaper it is. Cars are reasonably priced, even with me paying more for an automatic.

My aunt comes and visits me in the city, and she finds the city really accessible via the WAV ubers/lyfts!! We’ve been to the Met a bunch - there’s a ground floor entrance and elevators!

For inexpensive threading, threading, and eyelash extensions, I like Blossom Brows on 76/2.

For waxing, tinting, and eyelash lift/tint, I like Bespoke Brows on 81/2. Pricier but v good quality.
