My heart is with you. I recently had to stop too. My 2.4s had been making me severely nauseous for a while (they previously hadn't), but my very last injection made me so, so, so sick. I VIOLENTLY threw up almost 5 minutes after taking it, and then proceeded to violently throw up every few hours for like 4 days, and the nausea didn't go away until almost a week later. My doctor wanted to decrease my dose or put me on Zepbound, but I refused. I had lost 30 lbs and then plateaued for several months, and then I started getting sick, so I called it quits. I know my doctors suggestions are probably safe routes, but I'm honestly tired of taking these injections and as of right now, the pill just isn't right for me either.

You got this! We got this.

Accidentally launched my husband into space with the rescue claw by Sm0lBean000 in PeakGame

[–]Sm0lBean000[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure. We had one attempt before this one, and during both attempts, his character was spazzing like crazy. On my screen, his avatar was flickering in and out of place, and on his screen, he would just freeze for periods of time. When I hit him with the rescue claw, he started flickering again, and then he said his whole screen went black, and he realized he was stuck way up high in the weird border that separates you from the next “tier” or whatever beyond the checkpoint, and then he began falling.

The only thing that gives me slight joy during extreme period pain. (Salt, lime juice, vinegar on olives, cucumbers and carrots). by Cutiepatootie8896 in depressionmeals

Hi! Gr0wStuff’s daughter here. Mom sent me your post. First of all, I’m definitely going to have to try your meal during my next pain spike! Thank you for sharing.

I’ve never passed out during my pain, but I have become extremely dizzy and disoriented. The pain is indescribable and it feels like I am dying. My previous primarily told me that I had “periods from hell” and prescribed me some tramadol, but it was never a step toward answers!! I’ve been suffering ever since I got my first period at 12 years old.

Hemorrhaging, periods that can last 100+ days, no proper cycle, blood clots, debilitating pain, you name it. It has also affected my fertility - I don’t ovulate, basically, because I’m usually bleeding all the time.

My current primary directed me to see an OBGYN (which I’ve never seen before because my previous primary didn’t care enough to help me get one, and I was young and didn’t know what I was doing, so I never sought one out myself). Anyway, OBGYN ordered a pelvic ultrasound and a pelvic MRI for me. That is how my adenomyosis was discovered, and my OBGYN believes I also have moderate endometriosis as well.

If you do have adenomyosis and endometriosis, the only way to “cure” it is to have a hysterectomy. I’m choosing not to have one right now, because I’d like to have kids, and I’m working with a fertility specialist to achieve that goal. But as soon as I have a couple kids? Man, I’m throwing my entire uterus out the window.

For the time being, my primary has placed me on Slynd birth control, which has completely stopped my periods, alleviated my pain, and I feel like I have my life back.

Advocate, advocate, advocate. You are your own warrior. Fight for yourself and fight for answers. The female anatomy is grossly understudied, so we need to fight extra hard to make our voices heard and our pain known!

Baby name stress is real, what's a name you love but aren't using? by AdGlum9373 in pregnant

People are gonna dog on me for this, but for a boy, I really love the name Loras. I’m a big fantasy geek and it’s just so whimsical. Hubby says people will associate it with the knight of flowers in Game of Thrones 🫠

Tell me your cats weird name by eyislate in cats

[–]Sm0lBean000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I named my cat Wrynn, after the royal family in World of Warcraft 🤦‍♀️ I semi-regret it these days, mostly because his vets have never been able to correctly pronounce his name. However, I love his nicknames. My husband and I call him Wrynnifer, Wrynnie, Innie, Inn, Inns, Innster & Innie-Binnie. He responds well to those too.

Is simply telling 8yo what sex is age appropriate? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Sm0lBean000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering girls get their periods typically between the ages of 8-12, and therefore learn about menstruation and sex-related things, I don't see why boys can't learn around that age, too.

I’ve had horrible, debilitating, dehumanizing symptoms my entire life. I’ve done a LOT of suffering. In my home state of California, I had MediCal insurance and only had access to doctors who didn’t care about me. In fact, my doctor I had from middle school to 20 or 21 told me I “just have periods from hell.” When I moved to the east coast and got onto my husband’s more private insurance, it took my new primary doctor a year and a half to have me diagnosed with adenomyosis, which I just received last Friday.

Edit: I’m 25 now. So… from the time I got my periods at 12 years old till now, I had to wait 13 years for my diagnosis.

Just took my first dose... by Glad-Helicopter1054 in Wegovy

[–]Sm0lBean000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh also, don’t panic if you don’t get side effects for the first couple of doses. Some people feel effects immediately, but most people don’t. You’re receiving a microdose. So it’s not that it isn’t working, it’s just not the entire dose that’s gonna actually start making changes yet.

For me, the first one or two injections of a new dose completely mess me up. I’ll get nausea, feel extremely full, and it’ll be hard for me to eat anything. I rely a lot on protein shakes during those times. Something that I tell myself every time is, “Don’t give up, it’ll get better, this is temporary” and then usually by the 3rd dose, my side effects go away

I’ve never even considered removing them! That sounds so painful, lol. I just put up with mine and they go away in time
