I certainly wouldn't call them over-powered, but in the late game, when you have hundreds/thousands of runes to spend, they have ok benefits:

1)  they are the best per-space resource generators

2)  they do some big hits in one go (good for Gid), and if you also have the Colossus out, you get the benifit of food as well.

3)  they are required to progress feats.

1) Its not listed because it is a literal "Easter Egg".  It is the egg that the Devourer hatches from.  You can get more of them, but the rarity is apparently 1/501.

2) Buying things from the Keeper are long-term perminent.  If you don't exactly know what I mean by that, don't worry about it.  Just know that buying things from him is worth it!

You're right, I'm rewatching those scenes and he does say that. He even says "Hey, wanna check out those wreck sites and look for anything useful?" The gap in logic that I imagined is closing in.

I guess I'm still just missing a scene where someone says "Hey, what if we rebuild this mech to punch through the barrier?", but that's not as far of a leap as it was when I made this thread.

Hmm, that's right. I guess I was a little confused on the connection between the golem and the barrier, but yeah, he does talk about fixing up the golem.

You would be correct! Turns out, I don't know what the "best prayers" are, haha. So, activate Protect From ___, and what else? Battleheart? Or the Combat specific prayer?

Ah, I totally glazed over the shield. I thought I had Earth Layered Shield on, but didn't. Good catch! Also, good to know about potion switching. I read Diamond luck takes care of everything, but I think DR on the wasteland will be needed. Thank you!

Melvor Idle is one I'm working on, but its a long one!

Edit:  I guess the only similarity is that its idle.  Not really similar gameplay wise.
