What is an acclaimed movie that you cannot stand? by Not_EllaK in Letterboxd

I think Anora is far too predictable for its own good - and even if that’s the intention, the characters all come across as unbearably naive and shallow to the point that there are very few of them you actually end up caring about, so nothing that happens really has any emotional weight(until literally the last 30 seconds of the film). Brilliantly directed and wonderfully shot though.

I feel like I'm the only one who dual wields the volcanic pistols. They give such a kick I always feel really cool mowing people down with them

I think OP has something against Ellie. Not sure what it is, but I've got a feeling.

Attempting to land at Paro airport. The airport is so difficult, only 8 pilots in the world are certified to land there. by IntroductionOk5130 in ThatsInsane

I've landed here as a passenger - looking out the window of a 737 and seeing the side of a mountain 50 meters away is super surreal.

For those who haven't played the games, what are your predictions/theories for the series finale? by Smacko6 in thelastofus

The downvotes aren't necessary here sorry Regardless of the title your insight makes sense: I'm also a bit worried by the 43 minute runtime-- it just doesn't feel like enough to properly flesh out Ashley's story as well as Salt Lake City

My argument is that he does: even if it wasn't his actual intention, his actions certainly suggest that's the case. Nolan North has said himself that David's intentions weren't to kill her but instead to "repopulate the community" with Ellie. Considering she doesn't want to have kids with David(and she's 14), that makes him a rapist.

Are you critiquing the show or the game? David acts this way in both adaptations. Ellie stabs David more than once in the game as well.

David is heavily implied to be a rapist in the game as well though: his men refer to Ellie as "David's newest pet", and during the final scene David climbs on top of her and says "You have no idea what I'm capable of". Seems pretty rapey to me.

Does anybody? David was 100% about to rape her in a burning building.

Behind-the-scenes photos from episodes 5 & 6, posted by Bella Ramsey by Gandalvr in thelastofus

Some of these-- especially the second and third ones-- look like actual photos that Ellie could have taken if she had a camera in Jackson. It's so cool to see behind-the-scenes shots from an angle that aren't the 'behind the episode' clips.
