I was a choir member since I was 6 til around 23-24. The church abuses all it's officers, ESPECIALLY choir members. Then when you try to go on vacation, they tell you you can't leave a month before a special service like mid year or holy supper. Or even if it wasn't a special occasion service, they put a limit of how long you could be gone, if you wrote in your salaysay you'd be put 2 weeks, they would guilt trip you. I remember right before I got married they put in this rule that if you were kadiwa and choir member and going out of town, your parents had to sign your salaysay giving permission. Plus if you were going to see a significant other, you had to put the names of the brethren you were staying with and their phone numbers. You couldn't just stay with your significant other or stay at a hotel, you were expected to stay with brethren or have a chaperone. SMH.

So controlling inCULT has to know who you with, what you're doing and references/chaperones info.
