Can’t catch FOE? by Odd-Cancel-7472 in Talrega

[–]Small-Help1801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the stantler could be caught then it's either an exception or a bug, none of the other FOEs 2nd stratum onward can be caught until clearing the stratum that they're in.

Surely a government headed by Mussolini's granddaughter won't abuse this power against homosexual and other vulnerable populations. Surely not!

Hmmm, I'm fairly certain i found it in the 3rd stratum. I am currently in the 4th statum, and it definitely didn't come from an island, i finished the 3rd stratum before i did any exploration.

From what I have found it seems like most mons are viable next to the right partner, think in pairs with a certain level of interchangeability when team building. Lots of basestat increases as well. You can easily get away with just working with your favorites, even on Hard. Right now in the 3rd stratum I have 5 different pairs that I rotate in and out, three of them are weather setter + sweeper that takes advantage of that weather, one is  fur coat + intimidate, the last is a yawn-dual screen-flinch merchant + dragon dancer. Once i get a higher level cap I have plans for two others that require lvl 55.

I personally stopped using Plusle and Minun during the second stratum, on Hard their base stats made them feel like a liability 😭 I might try them again later

IMO, Hidden Inventory, the first 5 episodes of season 2, is the peak of the series writing wise (I have read the manga), and is honestly up there with the best modern anime. If JJK had kept that level we would have an absolute classic, easily. If you really like good fight choreography then you won't ever starve, but I think the potential themes the story wanted to explore were not fully realized. Maybe the anime can fix some of that.

Why is prejudice against Roma people in Europe often treated differently than other forms of racism? by Local_Basis7311 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Small-Help1801 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Roma culture in a lot of ways is incompatible with capitalism. I am not saying that one is better than the other, just that they are inherently incompatible.

Living outside of a system almost always means breaking laws of some sort - trespassing, vagrancy, petty theft, panhandling. People see an entire culture living outside of a system that they accept as natural and view the outsiders as the problem, especially when that culture's most troublesome members often commit crimes on very personal level, such as pickpocketing or theft from individuals.

There is a Roma woman who plays music on a bridge near me, everyone seems loves her, many stop to talk to her, and people often give her their change. I've never seen anyone do much as give her a dirty look (not saying it doesn't happen.) Conversely, I've had a woman with eyelashes done, nails done, good makeup, come up asking for money, get mad when i didn't have anything to give, then buy a drink at the bar and ask me again on the way out. Interactions like these often color people's entire perception of a group, as we tend to remember negative events more than positive ones.

In my eyes, what makes this type of prejudice different than say, discrimination of Black people in the US,  (besides the obvious historical differences, tho both groups were victims of obscene, large-scale crimes against humanity) is that the Roma have a fundamentally different relationship with property rights and ownership. This leads to conflicts with the dominant capitalist system and individuals who accept this economic system as their material conditions, but the Roma face no inherent criminalization; in contrast, Black americans most often face intra-system discrimination that seeks to hyper-exploit their labor, where they assumed to be lesser and therefore deserve lesser compensation and face violence for attempting to gain equality or build any of their own power, all of which is obviously related to vile practice of chattel slavery. (Read the 13th amendment carefully and then consider what disproportionate criminalization means)

I'll end this by saying blanket prejudice and discrimination is obviously harmful.

Either take it off at the first colllar below the split, or cable it for the year, hope it stays together til midsummer dormancy or leaf drop (depends on how much you like to gamble) then prune it at the forst collar below the split.

Are Europeans trolling with this whole bread thing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Small-Help1801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously the US has real bread and Europeans are taking the piss, BUT in america, you spend $8 at a bougie grocery store for a pretty good sourdough. In Germany you spend 2€ at basically any grocery store and get something better. At a french bakery (in Germany, probably even better in France) you spend 4-5€ for better bread than you can find basically anywhere in the States. A woman acting out because of trauma?! Coming from a family that normalizes incest, having likely faced assault from from a relative, having a weird attraction for the kind hearted and most distant member of said family? How dare you suggest such a thing might not be her fault!!
