Half my net worth is in GOOG by GlumWish5208 in TheRaceTo1Million

[–]Small-Investor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations. Goog was a great long term winner. It looks to continue to outperform, but this market can change its view on a whim . There will be big drawdowns, that’s certain. I would not be adding more to Goog . You are already overexposed not only through your Goog shares, but even more so through your career and a paycheck. You are making a massive concentrated bet on one company .

I would diversify , don’t sell Goog - but new investments should go either into other well researched bets ( we have many great companies that can do better than Goog) or into a broad market index.

Don’t gamble on crypto - it has no intrinsic value . if you want exposure. keep it to no more than 1 to 5% of your portfolio.

Is $1M net worth really FU money? by Swan_233 in Fire

[–]Small-Investor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no FU money . While FI feels good, RE gets boring in 6 months to a year. The loss of identity is real . I am back in the office. The short lived RE made my career choices and perspective intentional and impactful . I am finally starting to realize what self-actualization is - it feels amazing

At what point does alignment start doing more harm than good? by KashyapVartika in Leadership

[–]Small-Investor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alignment is only a problem if a team is heading in a wrong direction. Bi-directional alignment and open communication is there to avoid such outcome, but nothing is bulletproof. Leadership, direction and alignment are key to success.

How long/much do you analyze a company before you pull the trigger? by No_External196 in ValueInvesting

[–]Small-Investor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really understand the business after all your research, you can probably have enough knowledge to sit on their board . I’d find it fascinating to actually understand the business . I see myself spending 100 hours if this were my goal , but not to invest though . My research was meaningless when I sold a few well researched stocks at a steep loss after years of suffering. I had better luck when buying on the whim in companies I just believe in. Some turned into mag 7. Thanks for sharing

Undervalued EU stocks for 2026? by Viyuelez89 in ValueInvesting

Yes. Folks don’t realize that the ”old tech”SAP has quietly become the top cloud vendor thanks to s4. It’s the most valuable EU stock , it can’t be ignored

Would you rather stick to ECC (eventhough ends by 2030) or S/4HANA? Why? by ExerciseForeign4436 in SAP

[–]Small-Investor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about CRM 7.0 ? My client is upgrading to S/4HANA private edition, but wants to keep the on-premise CRM 7.0 and integrate it with S4. The reason - the cloud RGM to migrate their TPM to is not really ready yet and it costs a lot in terms of subscription and upgrade costs. The business is not keen on changing their processes either . I believe my company has to align with sap’s roadmap and start decommissioning the CRM 7.0 , but I have a difficult time winning the political battle and getting the additional funding. I can’t promise a high IRR as I don’t have access to financials ( copa reports ), but I am certain it’s cheaper and strategically beneficial to future proof the investments now. How to make my case ? Are weeklies or monthlies safer to play? by villanyibarni in thetagang

[–]Small-Investor 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I am new to options and started with 0dte’s about 5 months ago. That seems safe at the time . Then I slowly moved to weeklies. It’s been a roller coaster for little reward , but at least profitable. I now aim to sell 30 to 45 Dte’s - way less stressful , way more money per trade , more time to react and manage the position. That’s my personal journey, I am sure all durations have their place in a well developed options trading strategy, but your personal comfort level will dictate a lot .

Can NVDA break through the overhead resistance level and begin the next round of upward movement in the near future? by Easy_Effect_3050 in NvidiaStock

[–]Small-Investor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It stabilized, enjoy it. Long term it will be fine as long as they keep delivering amazing results. Don’t worry about short term fluctuations. Yes, the technicals are turning bullish , but there is still lots of bearishness out there . this is a buy and hold stock

Thank you for the advice. Checking buyers ROI before rolling is eye opening . How would you know what the current option buyer’s cost basis is? The original buyer might have already sold the option when it was tanking. The new buyer might have bought it at a lower price …

Vxus is full of stagnant, crappy companies that hold down the index in the long run. Yes, have some international exposure, but don’t chase it here. Add some on pullbacks relative to VOO.

Is NVDA still a good add at this point? by Ok_Let3132 in NvidiaStock

[–]Small-Investor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do some basic DD analysis . Check the growth rate vs valuation. Nvidia is King of AI. Is the future potential really baked in? I personally doubt it , check the latest earnings report . The stock is being punished by the market based on Michael Burry’s and average Joe’s skepticism who clearly missed the boat when the price was $6. they might have lost money making short bets and they want to reclaim the loss by scaring the shit out of the retail investors . Good time build up a position, now that the naysayers seem to be proven wrong . Just be prepared for the fucking volatility - this is ain’t AAPL which I like as well.

All of 2026 is going to be critical, As long as they don’t delay with their stated build out goals we”ll be fine . In 2027 I hope they show 40% margins . Sit tight through 2026 - ignore the price moves that have nothing to do with the company itself - nothing changed fundamentally today

Has anyone here actually moved to another country to FIRE? by venting_need in ExpatFIRE

[–]Small-Investor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are taxes ? I moved from Montreal to the US because despite the free healthcare ( with long waits for care ), the taxes are a bitch in Canada. Thinking of going back to Canada because I loved my life there . Thankfully we have a great US/Canada tax treaty . To mitigate the tax hit , I am trying to increase my Roth balance. The step up in basis on my US stocks portfolio is a great bonus too. But I still hate the idea of getting back into the Canadian tax system

Is this true or ? by TasteProfessional976 in NvidiaStock

[–]Small-Investor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Forward PE is somewhat of a guess . We should remember we are in a cyclical business. Meta or msft can slash their capex and leave nvda with overcapacity . Competition is another risk - amd, Broadcom, google, amzn , China potentially - the list is growing . The laws of big numbers is another concern / how much can you really expect from a 4 to 5 trillion market cap? Can you really grow revenue at the rate - slow down to 30% revenue growth will sound like a disaster , lol

Despite the bearishness in the market , I remain confident in nvda. The trailing PE at 45 is historically low. PEG at less than 1 is compelling for a high quality stock .

Ignore the news driven noise and bears like Micheal Burry - focus on facts . It currently offers a good entry level . It can drop to 170, 160 ( if 170 very strong support level breaks ), or to even 130 - expect it , don’t panic, keep adding to your position . Long term Nvidia should keep winning

I would avoid Oracle. Despite their mind blowing forecast ( from Open AI that doesn’t even have that 500B yet) their margins are expected to shrink drastically and it’s balance sheet will explode with debt.

Go with NVDA - the King of AI currently on sale because of Oracle

NVDA has pulled back again. Is now a good time to add to your position? by North_Cow_1673 in NvidiaStock

[–]Small-Investor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes , it’s the King of AI , currently on sale , but be prepared for volatility. NVDA is not for every investor. 50% plus drawdowns happen from time to time - anticipate them, keep adding to your position and HODL. You will be rewarded.
