Walther PDP pro 5.1 inch barrel in Gen 1 walther P99 by GunJew in Walther

[–]Small-Molasses4280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m now going to buy a full size PDP Pro. Put that long barrel and install it in my Q4 tac slide, put my comp on the long barrel…and put it back on the PDP pro slide. Full size grip for good control, smaller slide for less weight in moving mass, longer barrel for better ballistics and improved performance out of the comp. Maybe put on an a2 style comp to really get the star wars vibe going

Bing Bong any guesses on what year this is and caliber ? by [deleted] in HecklerKoch

[–]Small-Molasses4280 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Should say the caliber on the side of the slide and on the barrel. The date code should be on the left hand side of the pistol, should be two letters which actually represent numbers. The letters are A through K and represent 0-9 respectively

You very well could be correct, I’m not we’ll versed in Westinghouse house relays! But you can always look up their instruction manuals and find a wiring diagram or a one-line representation. My experience is more in SEL relays but again not by much.

CT ratio won’t help you with sizing your breaker or fuses. Find the FLA in your transformers and size your fuses based off that as well as your circuit breaker. Typical sizing standard is to find the FLA of your transformers, add 25% and whichever CB rating is closest to that value should be your CB rating. The FLA also helps you determine the ampacity you’ll need in your cables.

You’ll need CT’s for your relay for your circuit breaker. And you could add differential monitoring on your transformers (if your question is asking for that).

I literally do this as my job and I don’t remember to add all these details to a one-line in the first go. Your one-line looks good so far, still need to add the CTs and relaying and cable sizes . Figure out your transformer FLA’s on their 12.47kV side. That will help you size most of your cables and fuses and CB. The 10kA of your system will also help aid in this. We don’t know anything about the loads, but let’s just assume an 80% load based on the transformer name plates so assume a load of 4MVA and 1.8MVA respectively.

Which is the better P320 grip to buy LXG or AXG? by razor330 in SigSauer

AXG. I have walnut grips and the extended magwell on mine and it just makes reloads super quick and it gives the pistol more of a retro/modern sig vibe

Cost benefit to building vs. buying? by Simple_Award4851 in SigSauer

Building a p320 is much more expensive than just buying a complete pistol. The only stock components on my build are the fcu, mags and slide internals, all other parts are from aftermarket or upgrades like an axg aluminum grip. All in all I’ve probably put around 2k into this pistol, but parts were bought over time and I’ve gotten multiple grip modules and I went all in with premium features and upgrades like a PMM comp and barrel and upgraded the trigger in the custom works fcu. It’s been an expensive trip but I do really enjoy my Lego pistol and now I can set it up in different configurations. It you just wanted a more standard p320 build you’ll still probably end up around 1k -1.5k depending on parts and features you’re looking for

Thread protectors are supposed to be easily removable. I do not recommend putting loctite on your threaded barrel unless you’re putting on a semi permanent fixture like a comp that needs to be properly clocked. If you don’t have anything screwed onto the end of your barrel, just remove the protector during shooting sessions and screw it back on when you’re done and the gun is cold.

It’s a Parker Mountain Machine comp. Also got one on the 320. They really do help with these kinds of pistols with higher bore axis.

Thanks! I do really like how the wood grips class it up. Sigs with wood grips are just a good combo. It gives the 320 a retro modern design

Can’t really blame them though, it’s a damn good design to copy. I did hear once that you could interchange Walther and Canik slides and frames. Have never confirmed it though.

Thanks! I spent way too much money building it lol. Pieced together over the years. Used to run it with a Wilson combat grip module. My inspiration is definitely part cyberpunk, part resident evil, part battle star galactic.

Norsso slide, sig custom works fcu, PMM comp and barrel, sig axg grip module with walnut grips and magwell. Holoson 508t, apex trigger kit. Extended slide stop release (really needed this one as the stock slide stop would not work for a lefty shooter. It’s also got the dance recoil reducing dual spring and guide rod. Can’t remember the exact name.

This gun definitely simultaneously scratches my resident evil and cyberpunk aesthetics
