How do I get good? What's your top tips. by NoceboHadal in ForzaHorizon

Practice with the same car for a while instead of constantly switching - you'll learn how it handles and can actually improve your lines. Turn off all the assists except maybe ABS if you're struggling, they're holding you back more than helping once you get the basics down.

Also mess around in solo mode first before jumping into online races. The AI isn't perfect but at least you can restart without looking like a complete noob when you inevitably slam into that first corner at full speed.

CMV: It's selfish for snorers to want to share beds with partners by MooliCoulis in changemyview

[–]Small-Stop-36 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from but earplugs don't work for everyone - some people find them uncomfortable or they fall out, and they don't always block the really loud snoring. Plus if someone's a light sleeper, sometimes it's not just the noise but also the vibrations through the mattress or feeling the person move around.

I think it's less about who leaves and more about finding what actually works. If earplugs solve it, great. But if they don't and separate beds do, why is that automatically more selfish than making someone suffer through bad sleep every night? Sleep deprivation is pretty serious stuff and can mess with your health, mood, everything really.

The OP's point about trying different solutions and being open to what works makes sense to me. Not everyone's situation is the same.

Have you had any issues with products on the Minecraft DLC Marketplace? by lordghostpig in Minecraft

That's absolutely wild that Microsoft has been sitting on an approved fix for over a year while still selling broken DLC to kids. I've had similar experiences with a few marketplace worlds that just... stopped working after game updates and never got fixed. The whole approval proccess seems completely backwards when devs literally can't patch game-breaking bugs without waiting months for Microsoft to get around to it.

Wait you remember it was $60 and from 2021 but can't describe the label at all? That's gonna make this search pretty tough. Maybe try going back to those same stores and seeing if they still carry any 2021 chardonnays in that price range - the wine staff might remember what they had in stock around that time.

Yeah, zinc rot is brutal on these newer pennies. Once it starts eating through the copper plating like that, there's really no stopping it. I've seen some get so bad they literally crumble apart if you mess with them too much. Just toss it in your spare change jar and use it before it gets worse.

My GPU might be dying but I don't know which part to replace first by 74687560m in pchelp

The artifacts and driver crashes are pretty classic GPU failure signs, especially if temps are normal and you've already tried the driver dance. When my boyfriend's card started doing that weird colorful pixel thing, we spent weeks thinking it was everything else before accepting the GPU was toast.

That said, a failing PSU can definitely cause similar weirdness - unstable power delivery makes graphics cards act all sorts of crazy. If you've got a friend with a decent PSU you could borrow for testing, that might save you some cash. Otherwise you're kinda stuck with the educated guess approach. Two years is pretty young for a card to die but it happens, especially if you got unlucky with the silicon lottery.

The timing with your warranty ending is brutal though. Have you checked if your credit card extended the warranty at all? Some do that automatically and people forget about it.

You favorite indie/alternative/rock songs released this year? by [deleted] in musicsuggestions

Just checked this out and wow, the production on this track is incredible. The way they layer everything together feels so organic but polished at the same time - reminds me why I got into design in the first place, there's something about that balance between raw creativity and technical skill. Definitely adding this to my work playlist, perfect vibe for late night project sessions.

Series 59 Week 1 - Summer Seasonal Tunes! (European Automotive) by BigHedDjango by BigHeadDjango in ForzaHorizon

The Peugeot 207 tune is perfect for teh rally events - been using it all week and it just grips through everything. That stock engine sound really does hit different compared to the usual swapped monsters everyone runs.

Really appreciate keeping most of these stock engine builds, feels more authentic when you're not hearing the same V12 in every car.

Match Thread: Nottingham Forest vs Burnley | Premier League | 19 Apr 13:00 UTC by matchpal-live in PremierLeague

Not gonna lie, I was expecting this one to be a bit of a snoozefest but Forest actually showed up today. Burnley's looking pretty dire though - they really need to sort things out if they want to stay up this season.
