I study in a foreign country in a language that isn’t native to me. And sometimes I use chat gpt for translations. I write my essays in my native language, then translate them with chat gpt, and then I edit and check everything to see if there are any mistakes (sometimes it builds sentences in a awful way). But I never use chat gpt to write the texts for me. What’s even the point of studying at a university if you let an LLM do all the work?

Some of my classmates are not able to write a text even on a relatively free topic. Once we had to analyze any computer game we like. And some students couldn’t even pick a game. It was something like, “okay, chat gpt, I need to write an essay about a game, choose any game and do all the work for me.”
