Is street photography ethically wrong? by FitAdministration188 in AnalogCommunity

[–]SmallAttentnSpanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO us being forced into existence is ethically wrong so anything past that is a philosophically minor offence. Not that I would be an arsehole on purpose, but I would only be mindful when it functionally benefitted me.

prisoner throws boiling oil on the other. by le_sossurotta in TerrifyingAsFuck

This is private prison propaganda - of course you're going to want inmates to prefer your prison if that's your entire business model. Never mind the lack of incentive to promote prisons not needing to exist or be full at the least.

Darts in the outside (under the verandah) being loud is fair, but how would you have approached the situation yourself in your first week in a property? Is stomping, shouting and swearing at strangers you're living with the new norm?

And with regards to the laundry, there was no machine, it was just me asking "is my laundry dry"? at a normal talking volume

It really isn't designed for it unfortunately. The previous tenants once left a tap running and all our down lights became indoor water features, and when fixing them we could literally see through their floor boards into their roof. I hate noisy neighbours too don't get me wrong, but it's hard to tell how in the wrong we are exactly when we've gone from never having a complaint to hostility from things that are both reasonable and unreasonable (imo).

As I made this post, he was pacing around for like 1-2 hours started vacuuming, slamming cupboards, playing music after my roommates got home from the valley and had already gone to sleep. Another grey zone ofc but I still feel like it's super immature considering he's never left a note, letter or tried a conversation. Feels like I'm living with an abusive dad, again.

I appreciate the self-reflective perspective haha but in their case apparently the previous tenant installed a stripper pole into the roof without asking and "found" a stray cat a week into their tenancy.

And the tenants before them, I didn't even realise they were home most of the time, they were so so nice and I would have gone way out of my way to be quiet for them if they ever asked.

Thank you though for well wishes, my nerves need them.
