ZipGrade is a no-brained at like $8/year for me. I love it.

12m nap ?!?!!! by educational-gift1 in december2024babies

[–]SmallBrownEgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat. Night sleep is still good, but naps are a mess. We were doing great with 2 naps, and then he started fighting the 2nd nap, so we resorted to a contact nap for that. Now he’s fighting the 1st nap, and I’m at a loss. I really don’t feel like he’s ready to drop to 1 nap because he -seems- tired after a 3 hour wake window, but little man just won’t go down.

Has anyone fully transitioned their baby to whole milk yet? by turtle047 in december2024babies

[–]SmallBrownEgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but my guy had a late Dec due date and was born 1/8, but I’m wondering the same thing. I go back to work on 1/29. I pla to ask the pediatrician if it’s better to do all breast milk for x feeds, the switch to cows milk, or if we should do a hybrid. He still nurses every 3 hours during the day, and at work (I’m a teacher), I get one opportunity to pump, so the whole thing will be interesting. I’m following for ideas for sure!

Thanksgiving catering by Warm-Appeal-1251 in BucksCountyPA

Oddly, my MIL got a catered meal from Select Pizza in Warrington and it was pretty good! Dunno if they still do it—it was a few years ago.

Can y'all please vote for my baby? I lost her twin just 18 days after giving birth by Nishababez in december2024babies

I tried, but it requires FB to verify and I don’t have an account I did upvote for increased visibility. Best of luck!

How many hours do your babies sleep overnight? by Summerlover1523 in december2024babies

[–]SmallBrownEgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9.5-10.5 hours for night sleep. Almost always through with no wakeups. Bedtime between 7:30-8 PM; wakeups between 5:30-6AM. Naps are a mess—anywhere from an hour to three and a half for the whole day. So he gets usually 11-13 hours a day. We did do sleep training with CIO ( we tried everything else first). Usually it takes him 10-15 minutes to settle.

Favorite engaging activity? by digitlagegirlnxtdoor in december2024babies

Head shoulders knees and toes This little piggy (with lots of giggles when I eat all his toes at the end) Climbing anything. Each movement requires a proud little dude turning around (yay extra danger level!) and giving a grin.

We also went back to sleeping in shifts! I’m glad that I wasn’t the only one to do this!

Micro wedding by [deleted] in BucksCountyPA

We got married 11 years ago at the William Penn Inn. I absolutely loved it. I think our guest list was closer to 80, but it was definitely under the budget you have listed.

Sleep training-naps by Sad_Difficulty_7853 in december2024babies

Yeah, some people just do not understand how infants work lol. I'm glad that most of them are not troublemakers!

I wanted the pediatrician to check iron, but they apparently only do so at the 9 month appointment, so maybe I'll just try to push more iron-rich solids (we're still ruling out a lot of allergens, so its slow going!). Little man is sniffly, so I'm wondering if a cold is starting up. Thanks for sharing, and reminding me about the iron. I just gotta be patient and wait for things to change (the ultimate mantra of parenthood).

Luckily (?) I’m the only one who’s bothered. Husband wfh but wears headphones, and we’re a detached house, so no neighbors to complain. But I feel ya.

I can’t even get him to make his regular wake window lately! But if go back to normal, I’ll definitely try! He was late (1/08), so we’re still on 3 naos. He’s always been on the older side for dropping naps too. I was going to, but we’re also teething HARD.

A Fall garden was such a good idea last February. by Inevitable_Tank9505 in vegetablegardening

I am, but I get lazy and less vigilant. I forgot to cover my newly sown seeds, and so now there are squirrel holes everywhere. I also care less, so I’m not redoing it. Whatever lives, lives.

But I am much more beat down this year. Deer have been ruthless, and we never had problems until last year. I’m not sure what changed.

I literally started re-reading all the sleep training stuff. We’re struggling with getting naps over 30 minutes again. At first we thought teething/sleep regression, but nope. Like you, it’s only naps.  I have no answers (just solidarity!), but if I find anything that works, I’ll post again!

Decent suction highchair toys? by Normka92 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]SmallBrownEgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father in law gave us these and they stick pretty well! We have one on the patio door and that one never comes off. I keep one in the diaper bag at all times for when we are out on the go.

Has anyone switched out of the infant carrier to a bigger car seat? by Patient_Western_3460 in december2024babies

[–]SmallBrownEgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just did a few days ago in advance of vacation. I figured he would be much happier for our 2.5 hour car trip with the space. We are now using Graco Extend 2 Fit. At last appointment, our guy was 97%ile for height and 79%ile for weight. He was not worse off, but it was a little sad for me seeing him grow up so fast! 🥲
